Cross stitching is my passion. I'm leaning toward more French designs lately but I love primitive designs as well. I absolutely hate backstitching and I now try to avoid patterns that have lots of it (most of my unfinished pieces are because of the backstitching!). Love seasonal motifs (easter, halloween, christmas, etc.).

Here's a few things that distract me from my passion:

Origami - just getting into it and I'm loving it.

Glass pendants - so easy to make and great as gifts.

Totebags - my husband thinks I need to find a support group that will cure me of my need for totebags...so hard to resist!

Fabric - love seasonal-type fabrics and also any retro-style prints.

Paper - anything that's shiny and sparkles!

Favorite TV/Movies I'm addicted to LOST. I'm a fan of Torchwood and Dr. Who. My latest find is Tru Blood which I'm netflixing right now. It's funny, gross, sexy, romantic and creepy! The Office, Family Guy, Glee, Castle.

Big fan of Star Wars, Harry Potter and some romantic comedys (The Matchmaker, Sliding Doors, Love Actually). Love all the Pixar movies.

Favorite Flavor: Vanilla

Favorite Colors: Pink (any shade), blues, true red (blue-based, not orange-based)

Favorite Artist: Charley Harper

Favorite Painting: Nude Descending Staircase by Duchamp

Where you would find me if I'm not at home: Disneyland. We live only 2 miles from the House of Mouse and we are season passholders. We go...a lot!

Books

I read mostly kids lit and some graphic novels, such as, Harry Potter, The Mysterious Benedict Society, The Plain Janes, Y: The Last Man, Fables, The Graveyard Book. Any John Irving - Hotel New Hampshire, World According to Garp, A Prayer for Owen Meany.

I don't normally read romance, but I just got into the Black Dagger Brotherhood books (I do like vampire stories) and I've decided that they are Harlequin romances on crack! Good story lines and very erotic!
