Update 7 Aug 2009: My sister @Fel and I have just opened our first Etsy shop. We bring to you all sorts of little handmades treasures. Please visit our etsy shop http://www.WhimsyLoft.etsy.com
Update 21st April 2009: My sister has just joined swap-bot a couple of days ago. Her nick is @Fel her name is Felicia. We share the same address (we live in the same house). And we basically have similar interest (dogs, sewing, internet, blogging...etc.). And chances are we would probably join the same swaps. Don't be surprise if you see 2 person with the same address... we are 2 different person. We do have differences, you can distinct this from reading my blog and reading hers. Our blogs are listed in our profiles ^^. I thought I'd put this up in my profile, read in forums that some people have been accused of having multiple profiles...and I don't want this to happen to us. This note is to clarify ahead ^^.
Hello! My name is Grace, and I have been swapping since March 2009, and am loving it!
Currently I am trying to cut down swapping too much (due to high postage cost), but will concentrate only to personal one-to-one swap and Group swaps.
My promise ~ for all swaps I participate in, I will rate fairly, I will definitely send out what I have committed to, and I will send something I would like to receive myself... :-).
I DO NOT FLAKE. So... if you haven't receive my parcel within 6 weeks of sent date, please PM be & let me know. It probably is a genuine "lost in mail" and I will resend.
If you are disappointed with what I sent, please let me know before rating. I only sent things that I would love to receive myself... so, in my mind, that was a good swap I sent. But no worries, I'm sure we can work things out. Swapping is about giving and receiving and making friends not enemies.
I live in Petaling Jaya, which is very close (about 15 minutes drive) to Kuala Lumpur the main city of Malaysia. Read my blog to get snippets of my everyday life.
I LOVE DOGS! In fact I love all furry pet....
At home, we have 2 dogs. A mix-Pomoranian and a Labrador Retriever.
The Lab is mine, while the other belongs to my sister. My Lab is named Scout. He is my pride and joy ;-). Truly the most intelligent and adorable dog in the world !
Since I've been swapping a few times... I realised that it is good to have a wishlist. I find myself cracking my brain on what to give, and my swap-partner's wishlist is something I really appreciate.
My favourite colours - pink, olive/lime green, coffee brown.
I always prefer silver/white jewelries to gold or bronze. I prefer small, light, delicate pattern to large jewelries.
Favourite animal - DOGS... in particular Labrador Retrievers.
My wishlist... what I would like (sit back, get comfy.. it's gonna be a long list... hehehe) :
Felt. Variety of colours, especially bright ones.
FABRIC!!!.. I mostly prefer cotton, canvas or flannel. I live bright/large prints, retro prints, animal prints, sashiko patterned, forrest themed, anything Amy Butler, Kokka from Japan, Freespirit, Moda (we don't have these designer fabric in Malaysia...).
I love novelty patterned fabric e.g. japanese novelty, english novelty, dutch novelty, russian novelty...
Beads. Lots of beads, different sizes, different colours.... glass beads, swarovski crystals, mill hill beads, polymer beads, pearls... etc.
Jewelry Findings & Handbag findings- I work mostly with silver. I make necklaces, braceletes and earrings... and bags.
Buttons (esp. large patterned ones and small ones with patterns & funny shapes)
Brads - all sorts of colour, sizes, designs. Brads are really expensive in my country... so I really appreciate this.
Gross Grains Ribbons
Cottan tapes with prints (like those by Kokka Japan)
Polymer clay starter pack ;-)
Craft Magazines (old copies ok) e.g. Sew Magazine... I like those with pictures and pattern/tutorials.
Any Japanese Craft book (esp. Sashiko embroidery patterns, felt mascots, etc)
I collect fridge magnets. Cute ones are nice... but I like especially those that symbolised a country or a place... I always get one from the place I visit as a keepsake.
Any items from Starbucks and Hard Rock Cafe. I love love love those that says "Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam, Bali, etc."
Handmade stuff especially Handbags, Purses, Totes, needle book.
Food/snacks from your country. I sooo loveee food ! Haha...(e.g.chocolates, cookies, tea/coffee, instant stuff e.g. instant noodles/cakes/pies, preserved food... anything which is local to you but not to me, microwave popcorns please!! hot chocolate drinks, etc).
I love chocolates. Anything chocolates, especially chocolates bars with raisins and macadamia nuts. I will try all sorts of chocolates.
Crazy for nuts. Macademia (favourite), pistacchio, cashew... (not peanuts, we have to many here...)
Handmade jewelries. Love them!
All sorts of doggy treat and doggy stuff for my dear Scout. He's a yellow male Labrador Retriever... kinda chubby... 35kilos :p
I also collect postage stamps (used), so swapping is great because I receive snail mail with stamps on it... (well most of them do.. haha).
Dislikes... Hmmmm... generally I don't dislike stuff... I respect diversity & I'm easily persuaded to love anything given to me ... haha.. ;-)
I love handycrafts, and enjoy making things with my hands. I make what I like... things I make mostly are felt applique/embellishments, braceletes, earrings, pendants, charms, small purses, bags (totes), notebooks, postcards, boxes, handphone charms, plushies, pincushions, crystal dolls...
Recently my sister and I just opened our first Etsy store - WhimsyLoft.etsy.com Come visit us ya... ;-)

Wow, you've your own online store now! Well done :)
Hi Grace. I hope your Forest Swap has arrived safely by now. Have a great day.
Hi Grace, that's pretty scary that a little package of brads is so expensive in Malaysia! Keep posting your wishes - it's not very expensive here and so light weight, that it was not expensive to ship to you. I'm so glad you enjoyed everything. Heidi
