I joined Swap-Bot for the joy of crafting and making art for others. It's rare I join more than one swap at a time. I put a lot of thought and effort into my swaps with the hope it brings you the same joy I get from putting everything together for you. I read your profile and take notes in a journal so I can keep track of things to send you that are specifically related to your likes. I love to send happy mail that lifts your spirits and brightens your day.
I am a crafter/artist, mother of adult identical twin daughters, and I have been married a very long time. I have a little rescue dog, my husband has a little dog and we have 2 grandoggers. So if you're allergic to pets, we might not be a good match. We live in a non-smoking home, so, yay for that!
-I loved visiting England! It was a trip of a lifetime given to me by my daughters. It was the first time they flew, so that added even more "excitement." I am now obsessed with Big Ben and all of England. One day I hope to go back and stay in Bath.
-Colors: I love them all, mermaid blues and greens, teal, pink, purple, red, pastels, earth tones, just about anything goes, really.
-I like the beach/ocean, flowers, butterflies, birds, dogs, animals, elephants, mermaids, Julie Nutting paper dolls, Art Impressions stamps, Stamping Bella, the mild side of steampunk, girly, eclectic, and quirky stuff.
-I'm a big fan of Julie Nutting paper dolls by Prima and have quite a large collection of the stamps and dies. I was lucky enough to take a couple of in-person classes with Julie Nutting!
-I collect old sewing buttons, hankies, books, and art and craft supplies, of course.
-I'm nerdy and eclectic, and I like for things to bring me happiness and joy.
-I don't care to receive anything edible. I don't like coffee, not even the smell of it (I love my Irish tea, though). I'm not big on perfumey things like scented candles, bath bombs or other items with strong odors.
-I don't really care for the latest unicorn craze, things on the violent side of creepy, and anything having to do with horoscopes, ouija boards or tarot cards.
I am currently obsessed with learning about mixed media, watercoloring and card-making. I'm really into making unique backgrounds for my die cutting and card-making. I also dabble in Bible journaling and have a lot to learn.
Small art is where it's at for me. I like to make and trade ATCs, ATCoins, Index cards, Memory Dex cards, twinchies, inchies and whatever else I can make in miniature.
I am learning how to use the Gelli Plate and Gel Press for mono-printing.
I can crochet, but I rarely do.
As with other crafters, I have tons of supplies. I also have die cutters, dies, embossing folders, and lots of cling and rubber stamps. Stickers you say? I have plenty.
My daughters and I were excited to take an in-person class from Tim Holtz (eep!); we love all of his stuff and his style.
CHALLENGES I HAVE ENJOYED:
-Tim Holtz's On-line Creative Chemistry 101/102/103 classes
-Yellow Daisy Art's Index Card A Day (ICAD), June 1-July 31, 61 days of arting.
-I am always swapping with someone via Instagram, here or Facebook, so it's on-going.
