So here's the skinny. I'm a 39 year old female with a master's in atmospheric sciences and bachelors in physics and mathematics. I live with one fish and one chameleon in a small ohana (itty-bitty Hawaii house) that I adore. I have a small garden and way too many advocado trees. I work for the National Park Service at Haleakala National Park where I do a lot of weather stuff, which isn't exactly my job but I do it anyway. I've also worked at Yellowstone and Devil's Tower. I spent three years living in Uganda and one in Germany. I do not own a tv and read a lot. I mostly love to make stuff. Just branched into electronics (If you look on dudecraft.com for March, I did the light-up bird lamp) but I spend most of my time doing needlework: crochet and lotsa embroidery. I lean more towards geek than cute. Do a lot of embroidery patterns from the 15 and 1600's. I wrote and illustrated a very small children's book describing food webs. Hm. Is that enough?
Anything by Christopher Moore and Michael Ende. I subscribe to Make and Craft magazines.
Amusing music. Also I am learning to play the Ukulele.
Watch way too much Nova. Sorry, but I do likes the geekery. Stuff by Joss Whedon. This is embaressing.
Embroidery, crochet, electronics, papercutting, making furniture, murals.
Places I haven't been.
Ocean creatures. Fortunately I live in Hawaii, and they are readily available.
Lizards. Especially Chameleons. Chameleons are the most amazing things that have ever existed.
Making a Robot. I don't know why I need to make a robot, I just do.
Doing things myself instead of paying for them.
Complaining about my co-workers, cuz they're idiots. No, honestly. My boss threw away my lunch this afternoon.
Going to libraries. Going to other libraries.
Thrift shops.

I want to live on every continent on Earth. Not just visit, but live, except for Antarctica cuz the only job they've got down there is at a bar. Done three so far, so I'm half way down. Living somewhere counts if you get mail there, have to buy towels and bathroom cleaner and if someone asks where you live, you say "there", replacing there with wherever it is. Also I want to own a house.
