About Moi:

I am a wife and a mom to a beautiful14 year old daughter. And a pet mom to our loving dog Larry who is a Shih-Tzu. I am a southern girl living in the midwest. I am 38 but still feel like a kid. My hubby is 10 years older than me and we have been married 15 years. Its just us 3 (4 counting Larry) living in small town USA. No close relatives around. They all live back home in Louisiana. I wish I could visit them more often. I have always loved crafting, creating and collecting things and I love to give and make others happy. I consider myself to be very down to earth, very giving and dependable, fun loving and a good friend. I am excited to start swapping and making new friends!

I have a lot of likes and I am very random with the things I like and collect. My favorite color is Pink. Other colors are green, aqua, robins egg blue, red, orange, yellow, white, black, neon and bright colors. But I like pretty much all colors. I love polka-dot's mostly the kind where the background is one color and the polka dot is another contrasting color. But I don't really like the wonder bread kind of polka-dots where the background is white with multi colored dots unless its retro, vintage or kitschy themed.

I love anything vintage,retro & kitschy. I have a collection of milk glass and Fenton fairy lamps and a collection of small vintage pottery planters, they come in different shapes and colors. I have animal ones, birds, fish etc. But I do not actually use them as planters they are just pretty to look and they put a smile on my face.

I consider myself to be thrifty. I love garage sales and thrift stores. I seem to have a knack for stumbling upon items at garage sales for next to nothing and then finding that the items value is much more than what I paid for it. All of my Fenton fairy lamps I have found at garage sales or thrift stores and they are collectibles.

I have a huge collection of beautiful fabric, different themes and colors but I don't sew. I guess I am just really attracted to the themes, colors, characters and feel of the fabric, they are kind of like books to me (very strange, I know). However I do make fabric covered photo albums (no sewing involved). I can hand sew small projects and I do have a sewing machine but I just can't get the hang of it. I also collect vintage ribbons and trim, lace.

Since I was a little girl I have collected Hello Kitty/Sanrio items and I still love them. I really like the shabby chic style of decor and crafting. I love anything time worn and weathered. I love glitter and rhinestones. I also love mini things like mini envelopes, bags, stationary etc. I love and collect old games, game pieces and playing cards, maps, buttons. Yes, I have mason jars full of buttons they just make me happy. I love anything to do with chalk boards, chalk paint, chalk paper. I also love vintage hardware pieces, vintage knobs, old faucet handles, vintage chandelier crystals. I collect interesting vintage advertisement rulers the wood and metal kind. I would like to take some of the rulers and cut them to size to cover picture frames (I like stuff like that).

I have an obsession with office supplies. I could spend an hour at the store in the office supply section just browsing. I love Pink ink pens. I can never have enough pink pens (the ones with pink colored ink). I love sharpie pens because they do not bleed through the paper and are good for everyday writing. They come in a variety of colors. I love post it notes, all sizes and colors especially the bright colored ones.

I like gnomes, owls, pigs, elephants, frogs, turtles and really cute baby animals.

I love playing games on my iPhone, Nintendo DS and Wii. I love word puzzles like anagrams and word jumbles.

Wishlist:

Ephemera- Pages from old books, ledger sheets, vintage music sheets etc. I would love to have ephemera from other countries.

Remember the charms you would get from Cracker Jack Boxes and gumball machines? I would like to receive anything like that. I have seen but don't have, mini soda can charms, mini toothpaste charms, mini stick gum charms etc. I would love to receive little trinkets and treasures.

Kawaii/Decoden items.

I think I mentioned Shabby Chic already but wanted to mention it again. I love all things Shabby Chic.

Items from your culture, home town, where you live.

I would love to have something made by you. So whatever craft or type of art you are into I would love to receive something that you make. (examples: Crochet, needlework, ATC's, Inchie's, collage, painting, handmade cards etc.)

Stamps (like rubber stamps or cling stamps). Small ink pads other than black or brown. I would love to receive Paris themed stamps.

Kawaii themed stickers and stationary. My daughter happens to love Pokeman.

I would love to receive Washi tape, I do not have any and can't seem to find it in any local crafts stores.

Cute stationary sets.

Blank inchie or twinchie boards and ATC cards both decorated and blank so I can decorate.

Glass glitter.

Tags to decorate. I like the manila colored kind but any will do.

Double stick tape and or adhesive Zot dots.

My favorite scents are apple cinnamon, in combination or as separate scents, citrus scents like orange, pear, lime verbana (not sure if thats a scent). And I like the smell of roses.

Flavors/candy- Not sure if I would ever swap candy but here is what I like: -Love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. -Hard candies like peppermints, Werther's Original caramel hard candies. -Salt water taffy.

I don't really have one favorite craft because I like too many. But to name a few:

I love to paint (anything).

Jewelry Making (Rings, Necklaces, Earrings but I cannot wear earrings).

Bottlecap crafts (magnets, ornaments, jewelry).

Fabric covered photo albums using vintage trim, ribbon, lace.

Paper crafts. All kinds (card making, envelopes, collage, inchie's, ATC's etc).

Altered art projects.

Upcycled crafts (scrabble tile, dominos etc).

Metal stamping (just learning).

Soldering jewelry/charms (just learning).

Cross stitch and hand embroidery (small projects).

Making things out of duck tape (mostly clutches/pouches and wallets).

Most of all I love to find vintage objects, jewelry, ephemera and alter it, add to it or take it apart and use the pieces for other projects.

I am a magazine junkie. I love craft and DIY magazines. Some of my favorites are Somerset Studio and pretty much all of Stampington & Company publications like Somerset Life, Bell Armoire Jewelry, Somerset Home etc. I also like Do It Yourself magazine, Small Room Decorating, Flea Market Finds, 100 Decorating Ideas, Country Living and a lot more.

I love watching TV. Some of my favorite shows are Modern Family, The Middle, House, The Good Wife, Revenge, Grey's Anatomy just to name a few. I love Breaking Bad, this is a series that comes on AMC. I watch one soap opera, The Young and the Restless. I like cartoons (Spongebob). Where have all of the craft shows gone to? I love watching craft shows but they really do not have anymore.

I like a variety of music. Club/dance music, Hip Hop, Top 40, Some Rap, 80's and 90's music and some classical like Frank Sinatra. I have a hard time remembering song titles and band names.

I Do Not Care For:

-Plastic canvas crafts.

-Disney Princess items.

• No Clown stuff.

-Country craft items.

-Santa Fe themed colors/items.

-Nothing satanic or gothic.

-No horse themed items with the exception of Unicorns and Pegasus's.

-I am not into drinking hot tea.

-I really would not like to receive anything in obvious poor condition or poor quality or anything you are just trying to get rid of or pass on because you don't like it.

I know there are a lot of post card swaps on here and a lot of you collect post cards. I guess I am not that into them unless they are really old and vintage or kitchy or foreign ones. However when I go thrifting I tend to pick up old/cool post cards, so I do have a collection of them that I will use to give away in swaps or will use them in altered art/collage projects.

Please contact me if you did not receive your swap package. Things sometimes get lost in the mail (knock on wood it won't happen to me). Or items may be returned due to a bad address or not enough postage. I log into this site almost everyday and I always get email notifications, so I will respond.

I put a lot of thought and pride into any swap I sign up for. I almost always send extra's only because I want to and it makes me so happy to hear that you are pleased and delighted to have received a swap from me and most of all that you really like it.

No one likes Flakers or Non-Raters. Sometimes things happen that may cause someone to be late with sending a swap (illness, family emergency etc.) And I totally understand that, I just ask that you please communicate with me or the swap coordinator so I can know what is going on. This also applies to Ratings. I am new and every rating counts (good ratings). So if you signed up for a swap and I am your partner and you are out of town and haven't been able to check your mail for a while please send me a quick message so that I don't worry about you not receiving your package.
