I have a small family: my son, Zerind just started high school, my sweety for many years, who is very tolerant of all my crazy things and my adorable and slightly psychotic cat, Etoile. I work as a speech-language pathologist with children who have cognitive or social deficits (children with autism, mental delays).
I love the fine arts -mostly modern stuff such as surrealist, symbolist, Naive and Pop art .
When I have a bit of time, I enjoy taking funky photos and turn them into art cards. I'm into anything artsy though such as using stamps/ watercolors, acrylics, textile arts (mostly embroidery) and making sculptures out of clay and concrete.
I bike, play tennis, bellydance, dance Zumba, hike and take walks. I'm addicted to cheap shopping and antic hunting. SO much fun finding nicely made little trinkets... I am constantly running out of time because there is so little time and so many things to do!!!
I like traveling and each year I try to discover something completely different (2010-Switzerland-Zurich; 2011-Wyoming and Yellowstone Park; 2012- Paris and southern France).
In general I read lots of work-related lit., and beautifully written books about different cultures such as Hari Kunzru: The impressionist. My all time favorite is Vonnegut and his sarcastic-funny vision of the world. I also enjoy reading comics such as Dilbert, For better or worst, Foxtrot and I like cracking my brains with mysteries and brain teasers of all kind.
I am a pathetic beginner in guitar playing but I like playing and singing just for my pleasure.
My taste in music is really a mish-mash including opera, 80's music, dance music, gypsy jazz, world beat, Smith, the Cardigans, Smash Mouth, the Specials, REM, Prozzak, The Cure, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk.
mostly funny and suspense shows consisting max. one syllable (just kidding hehe) such as Scrubs, Chuck, Monk, Psych, Bones. I am an ardent fan of all things British especially sit coms and detective stories including classics such as Black Adder, Fawlty Tower, AbFab and newer stuff such as Coupling, My family, The last detective.
1, I am seriously addicted to cakes and sweet goodies. Hmmm lemon cake, hmmm apricot-almond frangipane...
2, POSTCARDS, POSTCARDS and POSTCARDS My favorites are :
--art cards;
--children's book illustrations and illustrations of cats or pigs
--funny cards and cards with black humour hehehe;
--B&W cards;
--wild and weird cards (I am not easily offended!);
--people cards;
--handmade cards.
I truly appreciate beautiful stamps on my cards and I like my cards stamped, written and sent naked unless your card is too fragile. I will be happy to read something about you, your life, favorite pastime, vacation, quote, or joke. Cheers, Tünde
