Hi! I'm 30 years old, live in the midwestern United States with an assortment of animals:

• Jeff & Andy are my two resident tuxedo cats.
• Josh & Danny are black hooded dumbo rats and also permanent residents.
• I also have a revolving door of foster dogs, usually pit bulls seeking temporary asylum until they find their permanent homes.

I love to read, watch TV, go to movies, play card/board games, make cards, scrapbook, and knit (although I'm not very good at the knitting part yet). I especially love to travel and have been to:

Love Actually, The Sound of Music, The Usual Suspects, Memento, Pretty Woman. Most recently I really enjoyed Slumdog Millionaire. I enjoy romantic comedies, foreign films, comedy, a lot of kids/animated films, and dramas. I don't like horror, movies which are overly vulgar or very sad.

My favorite genres are mysteries and science non-fiction. I loved The Davinci Code by Dan Brown, Horse Heaven by Jane Smiley, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, and just about any book by Richard North Patterson. I don't read science fiction, am interested in current political books and books on the formation of the United States, and my guilty pleasure is books by Nora Roberts.

Favorite colors: light blues, bright greens, & browns

I'm a tea addict and prefer black, oolong, green, and occasionally white teas. Those teas that are flowers and bloom are pretty cool, but other than that I don't drink herbal or fruity teas (even those masquerading as black teas).

In addition to actual tea I also love tea accessories: pots, cups, cozies, etc, especially in a contemporary or Asian style.

Please note: I do not drink coffee. Ick! But I do like chocolate covered espresso balls and other coffee flavored desert type items.

I love chocolate in most forms particularly dark, including cocoa. The one exception to my love of chocolate is white chocolate, I don't eat that at all.

Scrapbooking/card making paper & accessories for travel (especially for the places I've been, see above), pets (cats & dogs), & any other fun designs though I prefer a contemporary/modern look to anything cartoonish or old fashioned.

Pretty much anything Japanese or Asian

Handmade cards, calendars, or home decor items.

I love to cook but I have a gazillion cookbooks. Personal favorite recipes are awesome though! Kitchen gadgets/accessories are also fun to receive, I love red & lime green colored items for my kitchen!

Sushi themed items & sushi accessories.

I collect matchbooks from all over & also love photo postcards depicting a town/city/country.

I do a lot of work with pit bulls, so anything pit bull themed is awesome! Also cats, and pet rats!
