Updated 11-17-2009 Grandmother of 10, ages 11 months to 14 years. I like to visit family in Oklahoma, and friends in Florida. I live in Kansas City MIssouri but would love to be in a warmer winter climate. I love teas, loose and bagged, hot or cold. I collect hummingbird items, thimbles, pincushions, and Angels. I love Iiris', daffodils, and magnolias.If someone is sending me something to wear(like an apron) I do prefer a half apron with lonnnnng strings. I am not a small person.

I have 4 adult children, a daughter that lives in Virginia-2 daughters that live within 5 miles of us-and a son and daughterlaw that live 2 houses up the street. He is in the Army and in bootcamp in Ft.Jackson, South Carolina.

Extreme Make Over-home edition.. But I absolutely can NOT stand Spongebob. I like the crafting and cooking shows. And most of the Disney movies.

sewing, and quilting, and jewelry making. MY favorite colors are purple, cobalt blue and sage green. I do prefer silver color metals in jewelry making. but if all you have is gold or pewter then thats ok.i like doing 6x6 recipe cards and i love to collect recipes. I try at least one new recipe a week, sometimes we like it and sometimes not.

I read constantly, my grandmother taught me when I was a bit over 3. About 25 years ago i made the mistake of taking a speed reading class. So i usually read a 400 page novel in an evening.

There are so many things I really like and enjoy-one of then being my brother(moodytuner and my sis inlaw cheekywabbit56) We always have a good time when together(300 miles apart) I enjoy all things celtic, his dulcimer playing, her artisticness, and being a rockhound with them.

As my husband and I both have health issues we are trying to eat better. For both of us that means low fat, low salt, low everything. For me alone, I am an insulin dependant diabetic. Have been for about 10 years. So I am looking for low carb, no sugar recipes. So far all I make seems so blah. I dont really know how to use herbs without a recipe. We like almost all vegetables.

As of 9/11/09 I finally went back to the dr to start over and be serious about treating the diabetes. I decided I wanted to see my grands grow up! Ive not been on any meds or been to the dr since last Sept. Thats the down side. On the upside ive lost 43 pounds since Easter! The medsIi take cause weight gain so I will have to work really hard to keep it off and continue to lose. PLease wish me good luck!!!!!!

I do not need embroidery floss. I have a skein of every color DMC makes.
