I'm a 25 year old, married knitwear designer living in West Palm Beach, Florida! I'm totally immersed in the knitting world and have had designs published by my LYS, MagKnits, and Knitty. I'd love to have you stop by my blog and tell me what you think!
In addition to being an avid knitter, I also enjoy making jewelry, sewing, cooking and flower arranging. Gardening, photography, and mixed media pieces all intruige me! I'd love to see something in that vein coming my way!
My favorite colors are blue, pink, and green. I like brown too, especially when paired with any of the other colors above!
I don't have any fiber allergies that I'm aware of, but I'm not a huge fan of the SUPER-scratchy acrylics, or eyelash yarns.
I have two adorable doggies: a beagle named Jewels and a chihuahua/yorkie named Jax. They are my babies!!!!!
I have a total sweet tooth. . .about the only thing sweet I don't like is licorice! (Yukky!) My favorite candy is Sour Patch Kids (especially the orange and red ones)! Oh, and I don't drink hot drinks like coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
I love giraffe, bird and dragon-y things! I have a weakness for handbags. . . I also like stripes, polka dots, and retro-modern prints.
When in doubt, homemade is always best! Etsy is a great resource for handmade things. : )
The first is yarn, of course! While I'm not a yarn snob, I do enjoy quality yarns, so anything from an "actual" yarn shop would guarantee you a heart! LOL....also any knitting books or magazines are welcome, as are gifts for my doggies! (Leashes, collars, treats, etc.) I do enjoy cookbooks, as well, especially anything baking-themed like books on what to do with cake mixes or books full of cookie recipes! (Yum!)
Knitting books I'd especially love:
No Sheep for You
Knitting Lingerie Style
Vogue Stitchionary (any of the 4)
Also, my favorite knitting magazine is Simply Knitting, from the UK. : )
Project Runway, The Office, What Not to Wear, Iron Chef America, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, America's Next Top Model
Harry Potter, Inheritance Trilogy, knitting books and magazines of all kinds, Vogue Stitchionary, Barbara Walker. . .
