I am a thirtysomething female who lives in Oregon with my husband and dog Barkley. I work from home as a graphic designer and in my spare time I like to read, watch movies, take photographs, garden, enjoy nature, travel, bake, and make things.

Fun, adventurous movies, often with a dash of romance. Some examples: Fifth Element, Elizabeth, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Sweet Home Alabama, The Sound of Music, The Matrix, Ratatouille, Amelie, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Thomas Crown Affair, etc.

I enjoy knitting, sewing, making jewelry and papercrafting.

My favorite colors to wear are solid browns, blues, greys, silver and white. I don't wear prints, plaids, or anything with a pattern. Probably sounds boring to most people, but I guess it is just my quiet personality.

For other things I like colors inspired by nature and retro and/or modern colors and combinations (but nothing too busy).

I tend toward things that are streamlined and simple. I also appreciate things with culture, unique style and details (like textures).

I like pretty much anything from other countries.

I don't really care for crafts that are too countryish, shabby chic, kitch, goth or anything that is cowboy, TV, Cartoon or Disney related.

I'm definitely one of those people who appreciates quality over quantity.

Things I'd be happy to receive include:

art & craft materials (like eyelets, brads, embellishments, pretty ribbon or buttons, yarns, thread, fabric, pens)

craft books, magazines or any other interesting cultural things from other countries

Anything knit, sewn or otherwise handmade (a scarf, mittens, hat, socks, bag, etc.)

Office Supplies (deco tape!!! pens, markers, colorful staples, blank mailing labels, unusual post-it notes, unique paperclips...)

Pottery or ceramics

Things to do with nature, design, or kawaii.

A letter from you (about you or perhaps the swap item you send)

Things that are pretty, interesting or useful.

I have a subscription to Martha Stewart Living, Sunset, How, Domino, Real Simple, and Dwell.
