After thirty-three years of teaching, I am happily retired and excited to have the time to dabble in the arts and travel! I enjoy playing with paper! Calligraphy and bookmaking are my favorites at the moment. In the past I have done sewing, some knitting and beading, and lots of scrapbooking. Playing the piano, doing crossword puzzles, water aerobics, learning more about computers, trying new recipes, and reading keep me pretty busy. And I recently started playing marimba in a group! I am a true fan of All My Children, which I have watched for four decades, and am in shock that it has been cancelled! I live in a suburb of Portland, Oregon, in the beautiful Northwest. We're centrally located an hour from the beaches, the mountains, and the desert. Yes, it does rain here, but that keeps everything clean and green. I have been married for thirty years to a sweet and funny man who makes me laugh every day. We have two grown sons who live nearby. I am very proud of both of them! The older one is getting married in August, so this will be an especially fun year! I recently attended a super heroes costume party as The Master Mess Maker, able to amass a major mess in mere moments...you get the idea! I have vowed to downsize, organize, and clean my craft room...since 2009! Maybe this will be the year!
