About Me

*****I LOVE to do international and regional private swaps. Please PM me if you would like something from the U.S.*****

*****I am happy to swap with newbies to help get them rated. Just PM Me!*****

I live, love, work and play in Washington DC right next door to the White House! By day I am a legal advocate for victims of sexual violence and human trafficking. By night I am a fantasy junkie with an unhealthy obesssion with Harry Potter and Lost. I take improv classes and play in a bocce league. I have a wonderful boyfriend named Will (some of my wishes are for him) who I have wild and crazy adventures with. I am a little flirty, a little dirty, and a little nerdy!

Likes and Dislikes

Overall I have a bright and funky asthetic. My apartment is decorated with artifacts from my travels- African, Asian and South American themes- and original artwork of friends and myself. I usually wear vintage-inspired clothes with jewel tones and unusual jewelry pieces. I am a HUGE foodie and love both sweet and savory unusual and gormet treats.

Food Sensitivities: I am lactose intolerant, but fresh dairy products usually don't mail well, so it shouldn't be a concern. Dairy cooked or baked in things (like cookies or cheese straws) is fine, but I can't eat fresh cheese, milk or ice cream.

Likes:

Food and Drink: wine and wine-themed items, wine accessories, gormet foodie things, interesting and/or healthy recipes, fruits and veggies, dark and milk chocolate, spicy ethnic foods, coffee, savory snacks, salty snacks, spreads and dips

Values: pro-woman/girl power things, equality (LGBT and racial), freedom of speech, anything related to religion or sprituality (all religions, especially non-Christian!), recycled/green things, liberal/democratic things

Themes: Asian, African, pandas, monkeys, the Atlanta Braves, the Washington Nationals, baseball, bright colors, fairies, dragons, vintage 1920s-1950s, autumn, cute monsters, pin-up girls, burlesque, dark/gothic kawaii, sci-fi or science

Humor: naughty, raunchy, satire, improv comedy

Scents: clean, crisp smells, lavender, light citrus, olive oil, rain

Dislikes:

Food and Drink: bacon, beef, root beer, heavily processed foods, chain restaurants, loose tea (because I don't know how to drink it)

Values: George W. Bush, conservative politics, guns and bombs, misogyny, racism and homophobia, Anne Coulter

Themes: pastel colors, lace and frills, floral designs, country style decor like roosters and watering cans

Humor: cruel or racist humor

Other: country music, disco, heavy metal, SUVs, math, Star Trek, heavy floral scents

Comment: WOW! What a great package! My mom was so surprised and absolutely love everything you sent her! (Especially the Jonny Depp Notebook; apparently Jonny Depp is even yummier than chocolate - eye candy!) I really appreciate all the wonderful things you sent her: a Pirates of the Caribean book, chocolate, those cute little dogs, the pretty post-its and mini pens - she just kept squealing as she opened everything up. Thank you so much! I wish I could give you two hearts! You really made her day. :-)

Comment: Thanks for the goodies. Unfortunately, since I live in "HOT ARIZONA", all the sugar free candies were melted. But, I did stick them in the freezer. I love the Werther's, didn't know they came in SF. Also, thanks for te book on classic quotations, from "Famous Dead Guys". Very interesting, indeed.
Response: I'm so sorry that the chocolate melted, but I am glad you were able to salvage it! I asked the lady at the Post Office, an she promised the package would be in air conditioning the whole way. Now I know better.
