About Me

I love to sew and make quilts.

I like the idea of being able to swap with people from all over the world. I like to know the areas where people live, their customs and their cities. I am fasinated with pictures from foreign places. It makes me realize the world is so huge but yet so small.

I am semi-retired and used to work in the office of a manufacturing plant. I have a wonderful husband who tolerates my addiction to fabric (he calls himself a 'quilt widow').

I am also a proud Grandma to 2 little girls.

Favorite Books

I love the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. They are so funny you laugh out loud. I also read Danielle Steel, Diane Mott Davidson (Goldy Bear novels), and Joanne Fluke.

Favorite Crafts

Sewing and quilting!

I love to create by sewing.

The more fabric the better!!! I always send 100% good-quality cotton fabric and that is what I would like to receive.

TEA, COFFEE, and Cocoa (Hot Chocolate):

I Love it ALL!!!! I have been a tea drinker all my life and didn't drink coffee until I was in my 40's. Now I am making up for lost time! I love all the Hot Cocoa flavors. The only thing I don't like is coconut!

  • Hahaha, Fabric! I am a quilter and a sewer and I like most 100% cotton fabrics but PLEASE do not just pawn-off the ugly, ugly fabrics that you don't like. If you don't like them I probably won't either.

Comment: Hello Carol Thank you for the lovely yellow fabric with red dots for this swap. The yellow is a beautiful shad and the red dots give the fabric some character. I appreciate as well the addition of the 4 yellow buttons and will serve great as embellishments on the quilt I plan to make with all the fabrics I get from this monthly swap. Thank you again and know that your fabric will be well represented in my "new" quilt. I am still thinking of a name for the quilt. Hope we have futher opportunities to swap with one another.
