Recent Favorites: Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan

I also enjoy reading cozy, crafty mysteries (ex. Laura Child's Scrapbooking and Tea Shop Mysteries, Maggie Sefton's Knitting Mysteries, and Mary Kruger's Knitting Mysteries).

I enjoy listening to books on CD or MP3 too.

Favorite Crafts

My favorite crafts are crocheting, knitting, needle felting, altering books, making ATCs, decorative painting and scrapbooking.

I am learning how to hand spin and dye my own yarn. I recently purchased a spinning wheel and I'm learning how to use it.

I haven't encountered a craft that I didn't want to try at least once.

I could always use more...

cotton yarn - I love to crochet or knit dishcloths/washcloths

acrylic yarn - I like to make granny suares while I watch TV or listen to books on CD

Favorite Television

I enjoy watching HGTV, the DIY Network, and the Food Network.

Some of my favorite TV shows are House Hunters, Knitty Gritty, and Crafters Coast to Coast.

Comment: Wow! I feel so spoiled! Three dishcloths, and they are all so lovely. I am in a private swap, and I tried making a flower-shaped cloth for my partner, but it did not turn out anywhere near as well as yours did. Beautiful! Thank you. :)

Response: I'm glad you liked the dishclothes. I got the patterns from a book called "Garden Dishcloths to Knit." The book is sold at Michael's, AC Moore, and Hancock Fabric.

I'm also a librarian, though I'm currently in a paraprofessional position, and I just moved from Virginia (Alexandria) last summer with my husband and our two cats. I've gotten into knitting this last year, though I'm not the best at it, but I hope you enjoy the dishcloth!
