Hello! I currently live in the UK, where I doing a masters in international development, but I am from the USA. I have a bachelor's degree in philosophy, which I loved studying. In general, I travel as often as I can. I've lived on three continents. I love finding quirky weird things that are specific to a particular region or area. I am a huge environmentalist, as well as humanist, feminist, and just all things about equality on Earth, in general. I love scuba diving, but don't get to do it often. I am a vegetarian and love trying different foods. I have a crazy sweet tooth. Chocolate and cakes are my weakness. I also love cooking. I enjoy doing crossword puzzles, especially from the New York Times. And I love scrabble. I don't really know what else to say about me. But, again, hello!
I love to read and I accumulate way too many books, usually through swapping. Right now, however, studying has taken over my life and I'm finding no time to read for fun. My favorite author is Jane Austen. I love all her books. I am also a huge fan of Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, and Roald Dahl. Other favorite books include: The Red Tent, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Omnivore's Dilemma, The Hobbit, and the Harry Potter Series.
I don't watch much TV, but I do love Jeopardy! Oh and Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations is awesome.
I often like music that use unusual instruments, such as bands with accordions or banjos. I also really like reggae and ska music. I like music that I can chill out to, or else that will really pump me up.
I like to knit, but I'm pretty bad at it, and I've only ever made a scarf. I wish I were more crafty, but my brain seems ti be wired more logical than creative.
I like comedy, mostly. Scary movies and thrillers really freak me out to the point that I can't even handle it. I love foreign films, and weird movies that make you think.
