Favorite Music

Top 40, 80s, current favourites are Pink, Michael Buble, old Alice Cooper and Journey, Amy Winehouse. And my two favorite songs at the moment are "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock and "Pocket Full of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield.

About Me

I am a 35-year-old married mom of 2. I have a full-time job in the financial services industry, and I spend all my spare time ("ALL", ha) in the craft room because if I don't create something for more than 2-3 days I start to go a little crazy. Also, sending and receiving mail is easily in my top 5 favourite things. I'm looking into graphic design courses that would more suit my personality and skills. UPDATE Just signed up for a week-long close-up drawing class in August at the art gallery! Feeling like a rockstar...

Favorite Books

How do I decide which are my favourites?? I love to read; I have a bootleg library card that I'm not entitled to and I use it like a glutton. I read mostly mysteries and fiction, and some of my favorite authors are Janet Evanovich, John Sandford and Diana Gabaldon. Recent great books: The Life of Pi by Yann Martel; Blink by Malcolm Gladwell; Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz; And God Created the Au Pair.

Favorite Crafts

I make greeting cards, postcards, scrapbook pages, and I keep an art journal. I love my prisma pencil crayons and my watercolour pencils more than anything, and I do a little bit of (not very good) photography. Mail art has always been a passion of mine, and while most of my friends and relatives are a little amused by what I send them, they're not really into sending anything back. Horrors! That's what I come here for.

Favorite Television

While I don't watch a lot of tv (I'd really rather be in the craft room) I do enjoy DIY shows, and also sitcoms, and my first choice - stand-up comedy. I don't like to watch anything heavy or doom-and-gloom; also I never watch the news because it scares the crap out of my kids. And me.

Comment: LIFESAVER pops!! How cool that you can hand-make journals! (Perhaps a private one-on-one sometime?) I sat in the shade of a bradford pear tree, sipping on a chocolate milkshake while I read all your entries! I laughed and ranted right along with you! I remember those small-kid-under-foot days all too well. (Oh, and the invisible husband too!) lol I hope when you get this one back you'll enjoy rereading it (esp'ly the bit about the "crap of thunder."
