About Me

I'm running a little behind on my swaps, but I promise to make it worth it when I do send!! Please except my apologizes, they will be out this weekend! Unfortunately, with the holidays, etc, I haven't had a chance to get to them done.

Please please please let me know if you don't receive something! I ALWAYS send and pm if there is ever a delay or an issue! I would prefer to send a little late and give you something of quality instead a thrown together mess. Also, I LOVE checking my ratings, so please don't forget to rate when you do receive a swap! My hubby thinks I am crazy because he says I am an "overachiever" with these swaps, but hey, if you are gonna do something, you might as well do it right, right?!

OK now...

I'm a married, mommy. I have two very active little girls and an amazing husband, who is a chef/instructor. I love making him teach me new skills and techniques. I think I'm coming along pretty darn well as a cook, if I do say so myself...

I'm a certified athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist, but I've also been a weight Watchers member since November of 2005.

I LOVE chocolate and food... I love crafting and have started to make some "toolbox" jewelry! I just went to a "bead store" and could have probably spent my entire paycheck on the washers and stuff that they had! I am in love with the sterling silver, pewter, and stone jewelry accessories to use with my new found craft... man, I definitely need more time in a day!

I am a HUGE DIYer when it comes to doing my house. I've done it all!! My husband would think something was wrong if I didn't have a project (or two) going... lol

I LOVE collecting craft stuff. I like stickers, stamps, brads, all that stuff. Also, I LOVE paper! I am especially OBSESSED with the A6 sized paper packs. I feel in love with making ppostcards now... LMAO! I just started dmaking them this week. I seriously love dragonflies... I just bought a ring with dragonflies all over it. I just love them! I love to cook, bake, basically experiment in the kitchen, so I love super easy cookbooks for cookies, desserts, one dish meals and appetizers, AND now with the hot weather coming in, I can't have too many warm weather recipes! Hmmm.... I also love craft books. I have a few, but I've found that am great at making things if I have a starting point, so those are always good.

Favorite Music

I love music. Right now I have Daughtry (rock), Queen (classic rock), Dixie Chicks (country), an 80s and early 90s mixed CD, and Dr. Seuss Favorites in my car CD changer.. lol.

I listen to mostly country (the new "pop/country" some of the older stuff.

Favorite Books

I'm not a huge bookworm because I don't really have time with the two kids and stuff, but I love mommy books. My favorite is "I used to be really good mom until I had kids". It's awesome. I also fell in love with Nora Ephron, she wrote "When Harry Met Sally" and if you like that movie, you will enjoy her books!

I also love nutrition books - I know thats weird, but Body for Life, Sports Nutrition, stuff like that. I also use exercise and stretching books a LOT at work.

Favorite Movies

I'm a chick-flick/light comedy person. I can't get into the epics or the super action movies anymore. I'm also not a big fan of the raunchy comedies (ie. old school, superbad, etc)

I love When Hary Met Sally, My best friends wedding, Devil wears prada, Labyrinth, princess bride. I just saw Sex and the City and although I didn't watch the show much before, I think I'm hooked! I told my husband that it is a must have as soon as it comes out on DVD.

Favorite Television

I am a DIY/home improvement freak... I am constantly watching them! I keep trying to get organized but life keeps getting in the way. I also love the food network and fit tv.

Favorite Crafts

I love crafting, but keep putting off doing any of it for real. I started dabbling with the toolbax jewerly after I was inspired by the book. I love geometrics and abstract stuff. I like the hard lines and jewel tones. I add to my collection of crafts with Target's dollar sections and Joann Fabric Clearance (so the hubby doesn't get as upset). I gotta tell ya though, since I started making things for Swap-bot, he's been pretty impressed and not so upset if I find a new crafty item I just "have to have"!!

Cooking

OK... so I love to cook, bake, etc. Now, I am even trying harder to get the kids involved in the cooking process!! We don't have any allergies and since joining WW, I am now even eating veggies... go me!! I love recipes, I love creating them even more with Chef Hubby! OK - so pretty much, food rocks! Bring it on!!

Comment: A very yummy recipe arrived in my mailbox today. I can't wait to make some and my son loves banana's! Thank you Tee!
Response: I hope you enjoy them! I my kids are obsessed with bananas too. I actually made a bunch of mini ones and put them in the sandwich bags with 4-5, so they were easy to grab... like the "hostess minis", but with flavor!!

Comment: Your city looks like a beautiful place with an amazing history. I live far inland and miss the coast and plan to live by ocean one day. Thank you so much for the pamphlets so I can see pictures giving me a chance to get a feel for the layout and some of the things on offer for visitors. Once again thanks.
Response: So glad you liked it!! It's a great area especially now that the foliage is staying to change again :o)

Comment: Very delcious! How did you know I like cranberries?! They are very expensive in Malaysia, so I welcomed the chocs so much! They didn't melt though and they are very yummy! I have yet to taste the buttercrunch ones, they are in the fridge, melted quite a bit! I am sure they will taste fantastic too! Thanks so much for the awesome package. It is so good to eat the non-commercialized ones!
Response: oh I am so sorry that they melted. I figured that it would be safe, but I guess because the chocolate isn't processed and everything, it's more vulnerable... then again, I could be completely wrong!! lol! I am soo glad that you enjoyed the chocolates!! I had to send the cranberries because that's what New England is known for, so I'm happy to know it was a hit :o) If you really liked them, they actually have a website you order them on.
