Hello! I am a 33 yr old married mom of two (12 and 3, both boys) who is in the middle of her second year of college. My husband and I are both full time students at the moment..which is a little scary but also a very, good thing. I'm a journalism major and I love writing and reading. I also like to hike and camp and generally be outside.
For music I seem to lean towards british indie music, you know, laddy bands. I love the Clash, the Beatles, the Libertines, Dirty, Pretty Things AND Babyshambles. I also like the Shins and Modest Mouse.
I also lean to England when it comes to authors, Douglas Adams and Neil Gaiman are some of my favs. Tom Robbins, Kurt Vonnegut and Ray Bradbury also get lots of reading in my house. I work at Borders part time and LOVE to read so I'm constantly discovering new books and authors.
I like to dabble in all things crafty, sewing, knitting, jewelry making, crochet, altering clothes...I love to go the thrift store and find new uses for old stuff. I really like the idea of upcycling and try to as much as possible.
I am a HUGE Dr. Who fan and I adore Torchwood (I am a nerd). I like pretty much anything on BBC America, I love The Office, both versions, Red Dwarf, Peep Show, Top Chef, Project Runway
I don't seem to have the opportunity to watch many movies lately, but I love any and all films by Wes Anderson (Royal Tennenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited, The Life Aquatic, Rushmore...etc), I liked Ironman a bunch and The Dark Knight. I tend to enjoy movies that are quirky and have some action in them, I'm not big on romantic comedies and I laughed SOO hard during Pineapple Express I almost peed myself.
A few other tidbits...I'm easily pleased, I like things that are orange and/or blue and/or brown. I like the sun and birds and trees and anything literary or journalism related. Oh..and I'm a vegetarian and a pretty serious Anglophile.
I'm excited about swapping and meeting people!
