I grew up in a gorgeous small town in New England (Westport, MA). I currently live in NYC, partly so I can afford to do a lot of traveling - my favorite thing in the world to do! I've been all over the country and to a number of foreign countries as well. My favorite place on the planet so far is the Bahamas. I also spend a lot of time in West Virginia. I'm a pagan, and I love being in nature and hiking, whitewater rafting, swimming, snorkeling, camping, etc. I plan on relocating out of the city eventually.

I adore unique handmade items, and whenever possible I try to avoid corporate and mass-produced stuff. I like the ocean, postcards, stickers, spooky things (preferably nothing grinning/smiling), zombies (but not really zombie movies), Edward Gorey, incense, old sci-fi/outer space themes (like robots and rayguns), modern technology (especially my Treo 680), vintage things, organic products, cruelty-free items (not animal tested), tealights and votives and wax tarts or beads (preferably soy or beeswax), essential oils, tea bags, celestial theme (especially the moon), fractals, psychedelic art, Alex Grey, Zen Buddhism, yoga, nature, Bahamas/Tropics, West Virginia, New England, Victorian/Gothic, horror movies, plays on words/literary references, Aveda, BPAL, Dark Candles, Heaven & Earth Essentials, spiral goddess, sparkly and shiny things.

I'm an avid reader. Science fiction is my favorite, but I also love Chuck Palahniuk, Bret Easton Ellis, Dave Eggers, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, Alan Watts, Dean Sluyter, many more.

Favorite colors: Red and burgundy, but I also like black and silver. I prefer darker colors.

Favorite scents: nature-based scents like pine, lavender, cinnamon, lime, ocean, sage, apple, spice, cucumber melon, eucalyptus, vanilla, etc.

Favorite snacks: I prefer food without artificial additives (like MSG or xylitol, etc.) or corn syrup. I love sushi and Japanese food.

Favorite animal: cats. I have a calico mix named Calliope.

Favorite states: West Virginia, Florida

Favorite place: Bahamas

Favorite candles: Beanpod or other soy. I also really like Yankee Candle's Midsummer's Night scent

Favorite teas: I am most fond of chai, anything with spice in the name, and the Yogi tea line, and I'm least fond of any type of mint or chocolate tea. Please don't send Tazo - we get it free at work.

I try to be a non-materialist. I would much rather spend my money having experiences (like traveling) than buying stuff. Also, I hate clutter. On that note, I would much rather receive items I can use up (like tea or incense) or your handmade artwork than "knick knacks" or other useless shelf-sitters.

Other stuff not to send: nail polish; jewelry; picture frames; candleholders or incense holders; "cutesy" things (like kawaii); I'm maxed out on lip balm at the moment; bubble bath stuff (until I move and get a real tub!).
