About Me
I am married and live in Mississippi. I have one son who is in the military, he lives in Colorado Springs, CO. My husband and I work for the government. We are originally from Florida but have lived in Mississipppi for the last five years.
I take swapping seriously, so please PM me before giving me a bad rating.
Favorite Books
I love to read. I enjoy romance, inspirational, and "self-help" books.
Favorite Television
I enjoy watching Lifetime movies, HGTV, DIY, and a few reality shows. I regularly watch American Idol, The Biggest Loser, and the Bachelor / Bachelorette.
Favorite Crafts
I love to crochet (it is so relaxing !!), I am learning to knit, and I enjoy cross stitching. I crochet scarves, baby blankets and dishcloths.
I recently started making notecards and bookmarks.
I also like to bake (I love trying new recipes) and spend time gardening.
I like
I love the color pink, all jewel tone colors and any bright "fun" colors. I have recently started "collecting" fabric and love all the neat patterns there are. I especially like paisley, Asian, whimsical, and bold patterns.
I love anything which is unusual and/or unique!
I also like anything monogrammed (my initials are SMJ).
I am a Christian in which any Christian items are welcomed !! I especially like crosses and bible verses.
I like stickers of all kinds, vintage postcards, cute writing paper with matching envelopes, fat quarters, ribbons, novelty buttons, thread, any sewing gadgets, embroidery floss, yarn of any kind, crochet patterns and EASY knitting patterns, handmade Christmas ornaments, kitchen gadgets, any "yummy" recipes you enjoy, memo pads / journals - I jot "everything" down, and ANYTHING handmade.

Thanks for your nice comment! I use the t-shirts to make reusable tote bags (there's actually a pic on my profile) and I want to try making a pair of knitted boots/shoes using the sleeves from an old sweater - never have - but I love trying new things! ttyl! :D

I love that all on here are from all corners of the globe but can find out about other people and what they do! i see you share my birth year 1967 - I also love vintage items, and collecting pretty fabric to use in my projects. I looooove fabric too but barely sew! I am trying to learn though, I have taken a few classes where I work and made a dreadful skirt and am now working on a cute bag that I think will come out much nicer! Have you seen Batik fabrics? They are so so so pretty! Good luck with learning to knit!! I learned how to knit before I learned to crochet. I must say, I prefer knitting but crochet is easier!! But just keep at it! :D
Hello! I am your partner for Leave a Comment #2. I see your son is in the military. I thank him for his service. My husband just returned from a year in Kuwait. I also crochet. So far I haven't ventured out from baby blankets but would love to learn more. Hope to swap with you sometime!
