January 21, 2012~
Just saying my head has been out of sorts for a week or 2 now.... I sent out a bunch of stuff a couple/few weeks ago and have not received any replies, so now I am worried I sent either: the wrong things... to the wrong person... or some other space headedness nonsense...
Anyway, if you do not receive your swap in a timely manner, please let me know. I will gladly resend and make any small package large enough for delivery confirmation for ease of mind. Unless you are international, in which case I will send you the number but I do not know which countries use them so I do not know if that will help.
Hello Everyone! I just want to say, if you read this and have anything you are unsure of, you can message me! I do not take offence easily!!! I recently signed up for a swap and was contacted by the swap host. She just wanted to make sure I understood the details of the swap and such. She was kind and polite! But her note was stated in such a way as to imply she was worried I (or just anyone she may need to contact with concern) might be angry, hurt or just mean about receiving a message. Maybe others feel they are being maligned if they are questioned about their ability to participate in a swap. Not Me! If you contact me, I have no problem proving myself or not if that is the case! I usually do understand, maybe not as much as a good hostess would want, but enough that I think I can do it. But a good hostess has to look out for everyone, not just one participant. So, please know I appreciate a polite note of question &/or rejection and do not ever consider it a personal affront to myself :)
My most favorite music is classical. Bach and Mozart being top of the list, but I'll listen to most all of it.
I am not a great fan of opera however I adore "Phantom of the Opera"!
One of my favorite singers is Voltaire. He does a sort of goth-gypsy sound. I also enjoy Pink Floyd, Ian Anderson (& Jethro Tull)...
But this does not by any means encompass all of the music I listen to. I also enjoy listening to NPR and Car Talk.
I also enjoy listening to the 80's station.
On sirius I prefer Spa and Pops (i think i spelled those correctly).
I enjoy romance, sci-fi, fantasy and so many others! I am an avid reader and like nothing better than a book and hot cocoa on a cold winters night! Of course, on warm summer nights I can still enjoy a good book, but am more likely to be outside watching the night sky. Some fav's are:
Harry Potter books
-most anything by:
Piers Anthony
Jenna Black
Nora Roberts
Rita Mae Brown & Sneaky Pie Brown *read "Wish You were Here"
I enjoy the light mysteries with animal sleuths!!!
I enjoy many crafts and love to try new one!
I currently have supplies for ATC's and other paper based projects, jewelry making and bead crafts, tie-dye and fabric crafts (mainly I just sew) and a bit of yarn for crochet.
And I have discovered Fb's, label bag's and Deco's!!!!!! I am currently looking for swap partners and will be looking for swaps here and elsewhere to trade these baby's off! I have enjoyed reading other peoples interests and seeing where the assorted bits have been (and where they'll end up!)
Tina Stuff
I enjoy trading and swapping crafts or art. I have been doing various trades/swaps for many years. I enjoy Swap-Bot and it is my favorite swap site due to its broad variety. It is not like joining a crochet group and trading squares and only squares. Here I can swap most any craft or art that I enjoy and many that I have never heard of. What a joy. I will continue with my other groups, as I have made friends there, but this.... Swap-bot is just amazing in its very nature and I am very excited to be a part of it!!!!!!
Some Things I Like or Don't...
One thing I like about swapping is seeing how others use their supplies. I appreciate others taking my taste into account on a swap, but first and foremost is your craftsmanship. I prefer to receive something wonderfully made, but not specific to my profile if that is what it takes to inspire you.
I like getting mail (that one should be obvious!), making and receiving handmade items, the color red, oh and green, brown, soft yellows, soft pinks, blue.... basicaly all colors, just in moderation and not all mixed together.
I love chocolate and candies made with chocolate and fruits or caramel.
I love fabric! Texture and color can pull me in for ages!! Fat quarters are always welcome. :)
My favorite animals are skunks, elephants, cats, and small cuddly critters. Let us not forget the penguin (boyJG), cows (girlK) and dragons (boyJT). Also grandson 3yr loves giraffes and granddaughter 10m is into, well everything right now, but momma keeps getting her hippo toys, so we'll see.
I have a whole philosophy behind my admiration of skunks. It is not just their looks. Though the black and white look is very classic. :)
I do not collect anything specific besides teapots. Unless craft supplies count and I try to use those.
I do not care for ....
-things that bite me -the smell of artificial vanilla (most artificial scents are too much for my senses) -FB's that are ragged put together -ummmm.... more later. :)
I have no known food allergies.
Top of the list is chocolate and caramel!!! My two favorite together or individually.
All else pales in comparison. Yet, I enjoy anyway!! :)
I like fruits and nuts, combined or seperate. As I do not know of all the unique candies in this world I am not going to limit myself much.
I really do not like licorice.
I love toffees!!
I enjoy most all colors. Mainly in this order...
green
red (red and green switch places often)
pink
blue
purple
yellow
orange
Prints are always welcome. I prefer small over large, but I can find a use for most any print fabric given time! :)
-Fb's -label books -Deco's -stationary - -pretty envelopes -ATC supplies -fat quarters -Dotee Dolls -Dotee Doll supplies -ribbon -ATC's -scrapbook paper -yarn (prefer whole skein) -stamp and/or ink pad sets -buttons -inchies in sets of 4 (do not need to match) -assorted mini candies (caramels, toffees, candy corn, harvest mix) -flavored chapsticks or lip gloss (No chocolate or vanilla please!!) -quilties -postcards -romance novels (if I receive one with a swap I'll return the favor!!!) - used books (no horror please) romance, sci fi, paranormal and fantasy are my favs -metal findings -german scrap -assorted beads (no plastic please) - stamps (prefer non canceled unless swap states otherwise)
Spring of 2011 ~ I have been very out of touch for some time. After finding a box of swapbot packages in the back of my closet I decided to see what I had missed and messed up. I am hoping to have the opportunity to replace these swaps. (I know this will result in three's but that is much better than the one's!)
The last few 1's I have are people I have contacted and not heard from. I realize everyone has a real life that may take them from swap-bot (believe me, I do know this). So I am just hoping when they come back, I'll have an opportunity to make up my past swap flakes.....

Did @2Tall contact you about being late for the "Getting them Home FB swap"?
Hi, it's me, Kim, coming over from the profile link you sent me in your email about sandbook today. :)
Hello there! I had been looking for you on here and couldn't find you! Thanks for joining my swap! Yours will be on the way. I wanted to put a letter in there for you tonight.
I do appreciate you making up a long ago swap! It was a very special package!
