My name is Ryan (I'm a girl) and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I've lived in NYC for the past 6 years, but I grew up in Massachusetts and go back there often.
I have two jobs - one is my "day job" in which I help run a real estate consulting firm. My other gig is running my own small business. I design and sell handbags, home goods and t-shirts.

I don't have much down time because I'm always signing up to do something - either a swap, or joining an orchestra, or spending time with my friends and boyfriend (and my cat!). I am the type of person who is much more productive when I have a full plate.
I live in Brooklyn with my boyfriend of 2+ years and we talk about leaving after we get married, but who knows if that will happen. We have both built lives in the city and it would be really hard to give it all up - but I dream about having a big yard some day.
I am really into gardens. I visit the city botanical gardens frequently and I cleaned up an empty lot behind out building and turned it into a tiny patio/garden. I am constantly tending/rearranging my kitchen and fire escape gardens and trying to squeeze in one more plant, or propagate something.
For living in NYC I am pretty minimalistic in my decorating and clothing. I would rather spend my money and use up our precious storage space with craft and art supplies!
I love colors - green, gray, yellow, red, orange, blue, brown... Our apartment only has 4 tiny rooms, but each one has a different color theme and it really makes the place feel bigger.
I have a Maine Coon cat who is the light of my life. His name is Mr. Paws and he's about the size of a pug. But he's not fat! He really is big boned! I would love to have a house/yard full of animals some day...but for now Paws is my one and only - I don't think we could fit another personality into the apartment.
terrariums, ceramic arts - mostly sculpting functional pieces, window sill gardening, anything using recycled materials
bright colors, flowers, plants, animals (especially ones from the cat family), the ocean, nature, modern furniture, weird things, hippie style, 50's style
plastic (unless it is being recycled/reused), chain stores, licensed characters (Disney, Winnie the Pooh...), cigarette smoke, scented candle and perfumes, stuffed animals
