Description:

Welcome to the Back to School swap! This is a USA only swap, for postage reasons. If there are enough interested in an international swap similar to this, feel free to create one or I'll host another one and make it international.

This swap is specifically for those of us who have children (or grandchildren!) who will be returning to school come September (or the end of August for some). Some kids look forward to the new school year, and some don't. So this swap is for them! They will receive a little care package right around the time that they go back to school. Consider it a celebration for returning to school or a little pick-me-up for those kids who wish summer never ended!

Each swap partner will send a mini care package for their partners child. The dollar amount spent (or valued at) should be no less than $5. If your partner has more than one child, split the care package between the children.

Examples are but not limited to:

  • a small snack like a granola bar, goldfish crackers, or fruit roll up.

  • bubble machine toys

  • cool or fun looking pencils

  • a mini craft kit you put together or bought

  • bookmarks

  • a small notepad or notebook

  • something personalized with their name on it

  • coloring book/crayons

You may go ahead and list any allergies or preferences in the comments section below. If you'd like, you may also list the date your child(ren) goes back to school in case your partner needs to send it a little earlier.

If information about your child is not in your profile, please list the info here, such as age, gender, name, and general likes/dislikes.

SWAPPER REQ's To participate you must have a 5.000 rating. You must have 10 ratings at least to participate. So i'm sorry, but that means NO NEWBIES. Feel free to watch this swap and sign up later when you are ready! I'm being really strict about this because I've realized there is a lot of flaking going on.

I reserve the right to ban anyone from this swap, being that these are our children that are involved, it would be so unfair to flake on any of them! So please do not sign up if you don't think you will be able to go through with this swap.

If there are any questions please feel free to post them here or PM me!

HAPPY SWAPPING!!!

This sounds like a wonderful swap! My kids home school but we usually start the same time our local schools do which is August 7th.We will probably not start til August 18th though as we will be on vacation the first week of August!

I have three kids Dallas (boy age 9) ~ Payton (girl age 8) ~ Draven (boy age 7)! Draven will actually turn 7 on August 8th. I would love the package to be split between all of them. They have list on my profile and we also have some disllikes posted there.

My daughter Emilee is 6 yrs old and is going into the first grade. She is the only 1st grader in our small lutheran school. She loves paper, pens and stickers. She would love anything you'd send..She starts school on August 25th. Thanks!

just to let everyone know, I have allowed a swapper with a rating less then a 5.000 she has over 200 swaps completed and almost all of them are 5's with hearts with the exception of two 1's, they're not recent (i believe the last one was in march? the other - last august). She contacted me and after careful review of her ratings she will be allowed to join. i hope everyone is ok with this decision!

I hate to change but I was informed(quite loudly)that it is her sisters turn to get a swap. So- her name is Derikka. She's 3 and everyone else is going to school so maybe something inthe mail that is school oriented will help. She loves gum and may have anything you would want to send. We do crafts and shes getting pretty good with scissors.

Is there an age limit for the children? My son is 16.

Heidi is almost 8 and going into second grade. She loves most the Disney Channel TV shows and movies, in case you aren't familiar Hannah Montana, High School Musical etc. Her favorite colors are green and purple. She is very easy to please and will just be so excited to get a package in the mail!

I'll choose my 12 yo daughter Val. She's just starting 7th grade and she's so thrilled! School actually starts Aug 11th for her!

She's not a girly-girl, but loves cute things! She loves notepads, mechanical pencils, japanese stuff, colorful stuff....and you could also read her profile! She loves artsy stuff and does alot of the stuff I do. She also LOVES SWAPBOT! LOL! Hair accessories or funky jewelry would be fun too! Thanks in advance!

I meant, you could actually read "my" profile...she is listed as my "tween"! LOL.
