Description:

This swap is only for those of us in North America. Feel free to create an international version. :-)

For this swap, you will...

  • purchase a carton of twelve eggs.
  • purchase twelve plastic eggs (or blow out the eggs that came in the carton).
  • cut the carton in half (since you'll have two partners).
  • fill each egg to bursting with craft supplies that your partners can use, little surprises, candies, etc., and place them in the appropriate cartons.

Please read your partners profile for their likes and dislikes, and after joining, list twenty "wishes" for this swap to help your partner.

To recap: You'll have two partners, to whom you'll send six eggs in half a carton. That's why you need one carton of a dozen eggs. Decorating the eggs or the cartons are extra and are not mandatory.

Have fun!

Oh, I am so worried I am going to burn out creating a dozen for just one person. Couldn't we have two partners and make them 6 each? ::bats eyes:: Pretty please?

TheFallenAngel 02/26/2010 #

Well, sure, I don't see how it come be any harm. It's easy enough to cut those cartons in half.

grimmlynn 02/26/2010 #

Okay, then I am in. Oh, and they sell little cartons of just 6 eggs! I know this because that is how I normally buy them. Besides, now 2 packages of eggs. WooT!

TheFallenAngel 02/26/2010 #

Okay, as usual, my colors are black, white, silver, gray, and red. ;-) I'd love:

  • ribbon
  • lace
  • glass beads
  • x-acto blades for a #1 handle
  • interesting feathers
  • rub-ons
  • floss (metallic, too)
  • filaments (metallic, too)
  • charms
  • sterling findings
  • crystals
  • sheer or lightweight fabrics
  • quilling strips
  • quilling patterns
  • rivets (medium sizes)
  • anything unique, dragon-related, etc.
  • interesting lengths of yarn
  • anything, really, since I'm sure that I can find a use for it!

Just, no candy, please. We don't keep it in the house because of Chy. ;-)

grimmlynn 02/26/2010 #

Some things I wish for:

  • Buttons (the regular, boring type are always welcome)
  • Jewelry findings (bails, headpins, jump rings, clasps, etc.)
  • Anything you have made (no, really, I adore hand made items more than anything)
  • Paper shapes you have punched out
  • Foreign coins
  • Ribbon/Lace/Trim (any)
  • Bottle caps
  • Rubber stamps
  • Jolly Ranchers
  • Cherry flavored anything
  • Drawstring Pouches (sewn or crocheted...I love them all)
  • Pendants (can be handmade or store bought)
  • Cat toys
  • Earrings
  • Polymer clay
  • Thrift store treasures

...seriously, I am super easy to please! Just send me what you think I would enjoy and it will all be good. You don't have to fill up the eggs with anything in particular. If you feel the need to send me all hand made items then that is fine. If you want to send me all crafting supplies, I am good with that, too. If you want to send all store bought stuff or thrift store treasures, guess what? I'm good with that, too! :^D

Oh, screw it... I changed the swap to read "anything that your partner might like". So go ahead and lump in jewelry, EO's, conjure hands, tarot readings, and whatever else you might have or do to my list of "wishes".

grimmlynn 02/27/2010 #

What are EO's and conjure hands?

TheFallenAngel 02/28/2010 #

EO's are essential oils, and conjure hands would only make sense to rootworker (Hoodoo and Voodoo, etc.). ;-)

smokeyquartz1980 03/ 1/2010 #

I know what a conjure hand is :-P

I don't have a list because I'm uber lazy, so cruise my profile and make me happy. (you can never go wrong with diamonds and Halloween)

Lishmo 03/ 1/2010 #

Okay, THIS will be the last swap I join for a while. I keep saying that, but I can't pass up the chance to swap with so many people I know and love. And even though I will be busy any day now with a grand-baby, if you know me, you know I will get your swap out, come Hell or high water. Or dirty diapers.

Here's some stuff I like- - religious medals - pink buttons - red buttons - milagros - The Clash or Nick Cave - tiny straight pins - vintage-y New Orleans - Halloween - Lizzie Borden - beads That's pretty specific, but really, I am not hard to please. :) And I have quite a few E. oils and Hoodoo/Voodoo bits.

Oh, please use plastic eggs for me, no real, blown ones. Thanks.

smokeyquartz1980 03/ 2/2010 #

Poo, I have to drop this swap :( Stupid cars, with stupid plates, and stupid no money, grumble grumble grumble....

Tarabell150 03/ 5/2010 #

What do you think the best way to send these are? Would they fit in a small priority mail box or are you thinking about going a different route?

TheFallenAngel 03/ 5/2010 #

I don't think that they'd fit in a priority flat rate small box... maybe a medium, though that would be to big, grrr. We need a size in between the two. You know those Amazon shipping boxes? Those would be the perfect size. :-(

PansySuz 03/ 7/2010 #

OK, some things I'd like are:

  • novelty sewing buttons
  • ribbon
  • peel offs
  • white prima flowers
  • do dads and do hickeys
  • handmade earrings
  • charms
  • blades for a fiskars fingertip knife
  • sculpey 3 clay
  • anything really, i'm a hoarder :)
SewSouthern 03/ 7/2010 #

TheFallenAngel 03/ 7/2010 #

I swear, I blew out two dozen eggs and both of my partners want plastic ones. Tsk, tsk. :-P
