Hello fellow swappers! I take my swapping seriously and I will mail your swap on time, but I'm not usually an early sender. If you think you may be late sending me a package, please get in touch with me. If you don't receive your swap from me (if it was lost in the mail for example) please get in touch with me and I will replace it! And I will always rate the swaps I receive. Not rating is sad.

Also- On the issue of hearts- I give hearts because you took pride in the swap you sent me. I love the thought of swappers all over the world, just sitting down and making something for someone they don't even know. :)

Having said that - I like to send a few extras, if I have something I think you'd like. I love reading all the profiles, and I really like the idea of paying forward something you might use in a future swap.

I was born in California but grew up in the South. (Memphis) But please don't send me anything Elvis! I have three grown children- my baby moved out last summer. Very sad, but more time for crafting. My husband is in the Air Force and we move constantly. Right now we're in Texas. I love anything paper and/or small. Easier to move, and non-breakable to boot. I am a non-smoker. I like to garden and read and I love movies. I believe in ghosts and I am passionate about Halloween, NON-CUTESY Halloween. I don't do cute. Oh, and I am vegetarian, not a vegan, but on the vegan path. And, I am very glad to be here. :)

I don't scrapbook per se but I love all the scrapbooking thingies- I like to make Inchies, ATCs, bookmarks, cards, collages, shrines, matchboxes.

Here are some of the things I like and things I like to use- it's a bit long, but I like it when other swappers have a very full list of likes and dislikes so I have plenty of info to work off of. Hope you feel the same :)

• First, Please NO KAWAII, or animal prints

• I want to start a couple of paper-based projects based on the Lizzie Borden and Villisca Axe Murder cases (and the Bell Witch). Weird, huh? I know. If you live near those areas and or can share a copy of a brochure, print-out, advert or even an appropriate paper scrap or embellishment, like an axe :) I would gladly make some sort of trade.

• HALLOWEEN! - scary, spooky, vintage-y, graveyard-y, glittery- But, NON-Cute! Not kid stuff. Think Old Dark House. I like vintage style Halloween stuff, Ouija boards, Spirits, Black Cats, Witches, Salem, the History of Halloween etc.

• CHRISTMAS!! I go into Christmas mode the day after Halloween. My Christmas style? vintage-y, glittery, Shabby Chic, Martha Stewart-y. For Christmas I like red and pale sage green. Nothing "cute", or kid oriented.

• Basically, if it's dark and weird, I like it and if it's Shabby Chic and vintage, I like it.

• 7 Gypsies, anything from their line
• Blue and Green embossing powders and embossing glitter
• Steampunk type stuff or just some old watch parts
• Vintage rhinestones or sequins
• Millinery flowers and bits of old veiling from hats
• Anything I can alter or embellish
• Old game pieces, broken jewelry, anything interesting like that
• Rub-ons, Grungeboard, tags, tiny boxes and mini envelopes
• Stickers, non-puffy, non-pet, !! NON-CUTE!!
• Transparencies
• Collage sheets
• Papers and stuff for ATCs

• Old medals and pin back buttons

• Vintage postcards, old travel brochures and any photos especially old houses
• Clear stamps and Rubber stamps! those artsy ones with Gothic or Classical motifs. I need a big one for backgrounds.
• Ribbon, fibers
• Mod buttons, paper flowers

• Little pincushions - so sweet. I can't make them, I'm all thumbs.

• Harry Potter (Snape!)

• New Orleans, the French Quarter- think Vampires and Fog

• elves, fairies, birds, mushrooms- nature-y things
• I like to grow things, herbs especially
• I love tiny things, and have an empty dollhouse, my first, I'd like to turn it into a haunted house.

• Vintage Circus/ Sideshow

  I'm not partial to silly things- and I don't have any children at home so no child-oriented items.

Colors- I don't like red, or yellow. Anything else is fine. Greens and blues are my favorites.

Other Random Things I Like- - small glass bottles, colored glass - local scary stories and legends - bar soap - cloisonne - vintage books for children - Beatrix Potter - Victorian Funeral cards - vintage souvenir items, small trays, jewelry etc. especially from the South - When I was a little girl I had a wind-chime made of glass, There were little hand-painted flowers on the glass pieces. The glass was rectangular, like microscope slides. I can still hear it. I wish I could find one.

• BETSY and TACY!! Does anyone remember them? I especially love the High School stories!

• I challenge someone to use Betsy-Tacy as a theme for one of my Swaps!

I Love Movies- old movies, new, doesn't matter. I have a huge collection of Hitchcock films. And tons of horror movies. And classics. No romantic comedies, but I do like silly comedies. And I watch the Harry Potter movies over and over.

Favorites- Psycho, The Birds, Strangers on a Train, Scream, Halloween, anything Tim Burton, To Kill a Mockingbird, Tombstone, The Haunting - just too many to bore you with.

Favorite Directors- - Alfred Hitchcock - David Lynch - Sofia Coppola

The Office, Paranormal State, Ghost Hunters and lots of CNN.

I guess there are more Elvis Costello and Nick Cave songs on my ipod than just about anything. I love Joy Division. The Clash. Dinosaur Jr. I like Hot Hot Heat , MGMT, Say Anything. I love music. (Just not country music)

It seems like all I do is re-read the Harry Potter books, over and over and over. And when I reach for something to read at bedtime it's often a ghost story or mystery. I like True Crime as well. I don't read a lot of bestsellers, I like to browse the library for older stuff. I love F. Scott Fitzgerald and Flannery O'Conner but Shirley Jackson is my all-time favorite writer.
