My life thus far... I am an eclectic soul with much love for my family and unending love for my daughter who was diagnosed on the Autism spectrum at an early age. I support those with disabilities and the desire for our society to be more accepting of their conditions. Human behavior intrigues me and I enjoy learning new techniques and curriculum in the education field. I completed my teacher certification last Fall. College is very addictive and I have a desire to pursue another degree.
I am extremely dedicated to friends, family, paper crafts, and my faith.
We just adopted a puppy! We are in heaven with our sweet Oreo, who is a bischonpoo. I am obsessed with buying her toys, jackets, treats, and bows. All love.
My current craft trends are junk, collage art, and magpie journals. I recently learned about handmade book binding using the Coptic technique and pamphlet stitch. I also know how to use wires, sewing, saddle stitching, perfect binding and the screw post method. If you want to swap a hand, add journal, please let me know!
Experimenting with bullet journaling, watercolors, and acrylic paint stencils. I can’t draw but practicing makes perfect.
Love items with birds because daughter's nickname is J-bird.
Interests include traveling, meeting people, adapting to cultural surroundings, and reading.
I love Disney at Christmas and my birthday's which are my usual times I visit. Next year it will be Halloween and aiming to reserve for Tokyo. Eeeek!
One of my fave places to go to is New Orleans because I adore Cajun food and listening to Jazz.
Also a beach lover! Turks and Caicos, Aruba, and Pinel Island are my faves but settle for Myrtle. The feel of sand on my toes is heaven! Prayers for all those affected by Irma.
Music is a huge range from 80's, Jazz, Pop, Rock, ALternative, holiday, Christian, gospel, and Blues.
Favorite Television: Killing Eve, Schitt’s Creek, Doctor Foster, Chopped, Jane the Virgin, Younger, Power, Outlander, Walking Dead, The Man in the High Castle, oh wow! That's a lot of TV!
Books: I read fiction and non fiction. Currently reading: The Glass Castle
I bought an Instapot two years ago and really need to use more so send me your recipes for dishes that require red meat.
I bought an espresso machine because I hate weak coffee. Bye-bye Keurig! Love my espresso beans!
Love chocolate but trying to quit. :)
Favorite scents are Clinique Happy Heart, Philosophy Amazing Grace and Pure Grace.
Love Philosophy lotions and soaps, BBW vanilla bean body cream or any of their nourishing hand soap that isn't too floral or musky.
I am trying essential oils for different things now. Mostly facial use at this time. I started with coconut oil, then Bioessence and doterra for various things. Now I am addicted to Rosehip oil. Share if you are knowledgeable about this!
