Please Note - If you did not receive your swap from me, then it was lost so please e-mail me ASAP. I love swapbot, and I am on it everyday. I will find a way to make it right. Also if I did not rate you, please let me know, I will rectify that immediately.
Hi and thanks for being interested. my name is Bobbie and I am suffering from empty nest syndrome and would love to make new friends. I live in the mountains in California in a little town called Pine Mountain. (The reason for the PO box is there is no postal service here, my home is too remote.) I live here with my husband Joe, and our two dogs Percy and Daisy and my rabbit Mochi. My greatest joy however are my two grown up children, Trent and Kimberly (Kimikat on swapbot) and Kimberly's husband Byron. Thanks for taking the time to read about me. I hope to swap with you soon.
I love lyric driven music, like the Beatles, Elvis Costello, The Decemberists, Sufjan Stevens. Death Cab for Cutie.
My daughter gave me an ipod and now I don't know how I ever lived without one.
I love to read! My favorite thing to do is to go to a bookstore with coffee in hand and shop. I belong to WAG (word art group) and we meet every Monday at Workshop Alley to discuss all the things we read that week. My all time favorite book is The Sacred Origins of All Things Profound, by Charles Panati. I also love books by Phillipa Gregory. I also enjoy Dr. Oliver Sacks's and Michio Kaku's books. I also read Manga. I also love Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I know it's cliche but I don't want to give it up because it's trendy.
I am on the B.O.D of Center of The World Festival, and am a founding member of Free Speech Zone Theater. If you like to write plays please take a look at the Center of the World Festival website, you can find the link above.
I love movies too. I like all kinds. Wes Anderson films are my favorites. I also enjoy Samurai films, old science fiction movies, and scary movies that aren't too gory. I like foreign movies too, subtitles never bother me.
Discovery Channel, History Channel, Sci Fi Channel, Adult Swim and BBC America. I also enjoy the Daily Show and the Cobert Report. My favorite television show is Dr. Who. I must sound like the biggest geek, but when you get to my age I find there is no use pretending to be something your not. I'm also in love with the Mighty Boosh, The It Crowd and Adventure Time.
Well this is why we're all here isn't it? I am a novice at all crafts. I can crochet a hat and a scarf but as anyone who can crochet knows that's not much of an accomplishment. I heard about atcs after buying some beautiful paper at Michaels and wondering out loud "What could I do with this" a very nice lady than approached me and told me about ATCs. I also like to make doll cloths for my Blythe Doll and miniature food made out of fimo. I also like to create art dolls.
Random list of likes: Blythe and Pullip Dolls, steam punk stuff, and vinyls, The animes Gunslinger Girls, Bleach, Zipang, Witch Blade, the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya, Guren Lagann esp, Yoko, FMA, Ranma 1/2, Gun buster-DieBuster, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenoboshi, Digi Charat, and my all time favorite anime Fooly Cooly, Also I like: cupcakes, popsicles, strawberries, and loli girls. Alice in Wonderland, and Little Red Riding Hood. Werewolves. hedgehogs and rabbits. My favorite Holiday is Halloween, but I love Christmas too. I would also like to trade magikal items. I also really love the moon, and all items pertaining to the elements. I don't care for dislike lists, they seem so full of negativity. So have at it, I am always appreciative of any gift from the heart.
I am politically left, and spiritually open and while, as I noted above, I don't care for dislike lists, I will qualify that by saying I don't care for attempts at conversion either politically or spiritually.
That is not to say you can't work your spirtual path into your work, just nothing that insists my soul is in any danger should we not see eye to eye on politics or religion.
Religious symbols of all kinds, angels, and icons are wonderful and I appreciate those very much.
Again thank you for caring enough about me as your swap partner for reading this far. Peace, Bobbie

HAPPY SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAY!!
Thanks for being a member of the Crafting Queens~
Hi Bobbie! I was just checking out the profile of the person I'd be getting the supernatural swap from and couldn't help but notice that we have something in common. (Well, a few somethings anyway...) My eldest son is also really big into Pokemon. He's only 4 but has been playing the computer games and collecting stuffed animals since he was 3. He wants to start collecting the cards, but he's got a 2 year old brother and forgets to put his own stuff up too often. But I suspect he'll be collecting the cards himself soon too. Tell your son that another Pokemom wishes him luck in his search and if I come across any of the Gen I or Gen II cards, I'll send them your way!

Hello Bobbie! I like it even with a large cup comfortable to sit somewhere and read a book. alice in wonderland is a beautiful book, my daughter loves it :-) I think you're a very nice person, stay as you are!
Heya Bobbie,
did you read Michale Palin's book: Hemingway's chair? It's really a good book!
Aaaaw I love "My Immortal beloved". Gary Oldman is a great actor and this movie was the reason I now love Beethoven's music. :-)
I would love to swap with you sometimes.
hugs
Moni
Hello Bobbie!
Stopping by from the 'leave me a comment' swap. I see that you live in the mountains in CA. I have some family that lives in the mountains in CA too. They live in Crestline to be exact. I absolutely LOVE the mountains. If I could I would live up there in a heart beat. There is just something special to be about be surrounded by all the beautiful tress and all the nature. I love it!
Your children sound like such wonderful people! I can not wait to have some of my own someday! I myself love to read. I love to get lost in a book. I sometimes feel sad when I am done reading a book because I get into them so much haha!
I see that we have some common interests in tv. I really love the history and discovery channel. I have really gotten into the show Chasing Mummies on the History Channel. it is so fascinating.
You seem like such a wonderful person and I am glad I got to read your profile and get to know a bit about you. Take care and have a wonderful day!
Hey my Alice Ch. #1 swap is going to a lady you just rated for the f@#$ ATC swap
Hi Bobbie, thanks for stopping by my profile! I don't get as much time as I'd like to do all the swaps I'd like to, but still do the zombie or games inspired ones. Actually, I think of you alot - every day in fact as your bobblehead zombie ATC is on the DVD shelf - right next to my computer screen! The head means it stands upright and when I'm feeling like my brain has gone to sleep, I'm comforted knowing that if zombie's invaded my flat, they wouldn't have a great meal in me!
Hope you are well. best wishes, t
