NOW: About me......

I am a Christian Chaplain and homeschooling mom of an adopted 4 year old indian girl. We recently started trading and swaping cards as part of our learning process. Will be doing alot of trading over the next 15 years !!! Prefer cards to be addressed to my daughter if possible "Victoria Rachel" or "Little Eagle". She just loves getting the mail and seeing her name on a card. (Her given indian name is Little Eagle Of Great Voice but we call her just Little Eagle or Victoria) If not, you can still address them to me. I spend most of my time in front of the computer because I have an online book business and I am involved in trading postcards on other sites, as well as online bible studies. So, it will be easy for me to monitor anything I may be hosting.....I love starting projects so you will probably see me starting a lot of swaps that are themed. All chosen by my 4 year old. I can't be here much on Sundays because I am in church.

ALL OF THEM - Ha Ha. When I am not doing Charity relief work, or in church, I sell books online. Actually I like anything "clean" and travel related books. I am fascinated by other cultures, Egyptology, Bible lands, ect. I also like easy crafts or papercraft related books like cardmaking, scrapbooking, paper ornaments or anything I can adapt for my daughter. I do sell used books online for a living (my ONLY income as I am NOT a paid church worker), but I don't read many fiction books. I skim over some of what I sell and it is too smutty for my tastes. I'd probably sell more if I stopped reading a little bit of everything I list for sale.

Also, most people think that because I am a Chaplain that I like "religious" books. Well....., I don't. I have found more people in my own fellowship (Church) that have been so misled by what other people write that it has turned me away from other people's books. Don't get me wrong, there are some great christian writers out there but as for me and my house.....We read only the Bible for christian education :-). Some books I still HAVE to read for my Seminary Studies.

Star Trek, Deep Space 9, Battlestar Gallactica.....you get the picture. I am a sci-fi watcher whenever I hussle the T.V. away from my daughter. I may be a Chaplain but don't you think those big sophisticated battleships may find GOD someday !!!! Just one more leap, or warp or ........LOL

I also like the History Channel, Discovery Channel, and anything Travel Related.

I am not an artist but I like to attempt handmade postcards, christmas ornaments, crayola quilting.

I like anything I can do with Victoria.

We like buttons, and beads, and doodads !!!

We just recently took up scrapbooking.

This photo is of the day I presented her to my church and all of her paperwork was final. I became her MOM !!!

I do these posts and collect primarily for my daughter. She has been in my life since she was just 4 weeks old. I am lucky enough to be called her mom now. She is Native American from the Mattapani Tribe. Some think she is African American so she blends real well with the neighbor kids!! It probably won't be long before we have to pack up and move closer to the reservation so she can learn her heritage. These collections are all hers. I am helping where she needs help. and maybe oneday she will host these posts on her own and I can start MY OWN COLLECTION !!!!

Beyond that she is a very smart 4 year old building a nice collection. Her goal is to take her cards to the Fair next year for hobby competition. Too Cool.

WE WILL BE TAKING A CROSS COUNTRY TRIP MAY 2010. Anything that can fit into our backpacks and be useful would be nice. (Small games, flashlight, soap box, mini-notebooks, wet wipes, travel size soaps and shampoo like you would find in hotels, ect.) We have bought nothing yet for our trip and won't until April 2010. By then we will know what we need that has not been given to us. This trip is a special "MOMMIE and ME" Trip. 2 months on the road all by GREYHOUND BUS !!!!!

I do not encourage chocolate for Victoria. She was a Crack/Morphine addicted infant when I got her. Coffee is the ONLY stimulant her doctors and I have used to ward off "Cravings and rocking" and chocolate contains caffiene which would cause "over-stimulation". Hard to explain but thank you for understanding.

We also believe that what little bit of Caffeine she does get by way of coffee, attributes to her ability to learn so quickly.

If you want to send chocolate for mom, or kinder eggs still intact, please tape a small box up with it inside and clearly label "For Mom This Time". If you say for Mom Only than she feels left out/isolated. It just means that when she can have it, I will give her a piece.
