ATTENTION EVERYBODY...I MUST APLOGIZE FOR AND ALLM LATE "SWAPS" AND RATINGS BECAUSE MY COMPUTER WAS DOWN FOR SEVERAL DAYS...FINALLY THE "CABLE GUY" CAME OVER AND FIXED ALL THE WIRES AND CABLES THAT RAN FROM THE STREET TO MY HOUSE AND REPLACED THE MODEM. My name is Cecilia and I live in Northern CA. I will be 62 years old on the 22nd (this month...JULY 22, 2009) and I will be retiring from my long term job as a Senior Case Manager on 7/31/09.

Now that I have officially retired I find it hard to remember when I had time to actually go to work.

I love SWAP-BOT and all the delightful people I have met by participating in all the different kinds of SWAPS...I pledge to send my swaps on time or before and if there is a problem I will send you a message explaining the delay then get the swap in the mail ASAP

My husband, DOUG, is a 3rd grade teacher and loves what he does. In fact I think the only difference between him and his students is that he is taller

I am the Mother of 3 grown children (JULIA, MICHELLE and MICHELLE) and the Step-Mother of 2 (DAVID and JAMIE). I am TUTU to 5 lovely grandchildren...(HALIE, SOPHIA, JENNIFER, MIA and BRAXTON) who are the light of my life. My oldest daughter is 40 years old and I remember holding her in front of the TV 40 years ago (7/20/69) and saying, "Julia this is an important event so watch it and remember this forever", as the first man stepped on the moon...she was only 6 months old and has no recollection of the event but I will remember for both of us for the rest of my life.

I have a passion for cooking and my speciality is Hawaiian Fusion...and I also love baking especially cookies and cakes...all the while I am watching the Food Network and getting more new ideas.

I enjoy knitting scarves and making yarn leis and scrapbooking and card making are great fun for me to do when I'm not working in our yard or watching all the growth of the flowers and trees.

We have 4 large dogs who are like my children now and they are so accepting and love un-conditionally. * Sammy...and then there was 3! Sadly we had to say Good-Bye to the Lovely Miss Sam on 9/14/09 because she lost the battle with worn-out hips and joints and was no longer able to get around. She was 10 years old and weighted 125 pounds. She is missed missed but she will always be alive in our hearts.

I always look forward to my annual trip to San Fransico to attend the Hawaiian Festival where I can get my fill of all the Hawaiian food I can eat...which isn't so much anymore because I had Gastric By-Pass 3 years and now I'm a size 10 and not a 22 anymore.
