THANK YOUs go out to all the kind folks who sent me well wishes and comforting words as I was recovering from Aug. 5th knee surgery. I'm all better now.
I work on a computer all day so I mostly avoid the one at home; however, if you send me a Swap-Bot message you'll get a really quick reply. If I owe you a rating, YELL AT ME. I have grey hair and I'm fine with admitting it doesn't hold in the memory that my brown hair did.
I am an old 50-something :) professional CADDmonkey, working in a large R&D lab. I have 3 indoor cats, a cockatiel, a spousal-unit, and a roommate. I am active in several clubs and like to travel. For fun, I keep up with the Atlanta Braves, read sci-fi novels, bowl on 3 leagues, play board games and cards, and enjoy exploring nature trails in our local parks. I collect old ceramic gravy boats. My favorite colors: Forest Green, Dark Brown, Bright Red. I like citrus-smells and images of dolphins.
I will listen to almost anything for a short time, but my passions are movie/show soundtracks (Matrix, XXX, Phantom, Cats), new age/alternative (Acoustic Alchemy), light jazz (Harry Connick, Jr.), classical (Bach), and current country (Toby Keith).
I adore movies. My "default DVDs" include The Bridges Over Madison County, For Love of the Game, Armageddon, Out of Africa, Twister, Children of a Lesser God, The Longest Day, The Matrix, I Dreamed of Africa, Dances with Wolves, The Fifth Element, Blade, LadyHawke, The Quiet Man, Meet Joe Black, and The Secretary
I don't watch much tv anymore. We usually tape CSI, NCIS, The Unit, and The Amazing Race during the week and watch them on Sat/Sun afternoons. We've also discovered the joy of ad-free tv (aka DVD season collections).
I love all kinds of things: scrap crafts, sewing (plus-size as a child, I learned early to make most anything), embroidery (not just x-stitch, but "fancy work" too), sketching/water colors, knitting (new to this!), crochet (even newer at this!!), writing (no talent, just desire), and learning new things
I'm pretty boring on the surface, but underneath, watch out! I have a blog where ALL those tales are told. So, don't be afraid to "test the edge" of your usual envelopes. I'm pretty cool about most topics/imagery/artforms. ;) My Guilty pleasure? office/school supplies!! I adore stationery.
I am a pagan, ordained, eclectic, and active water witch, locally and with several area circles of pagan-folk. I'm a flamekeeper for Brighid and I teach basic spirituality a couple of times a year for community groups who ask me to. I've been "outta the broomcloset" since I was 40 (yike! that long??) so sometimes I'm lucky and get invited to present topics at Pride events. (old ladies rule, y'know) I have a sacred circle 25ft across in my backyard that's always a favorite place to hang-out.
Ratings! Lots of people get my stuff; only the BEST SORTS remember to rate them. PLEASE rate it. I need the closure. :)

Hi, just a quick note to let you know that I received Mojo's Traveling Journal from you in the Traveling Journal International Swap, round 3. If I could give you a heart and a 5 here I would ! I think it was a good idea to put the knitted holder around this journal. I don't think the magnet will hold everything in forever ! Thanks for the "grippy" too, these things can be amazing what they keep in place.
Hi, I want to thank you for offering to angel my "D-E-F Swap. The cards you made are really cool and thanks for the extra card. You deserve a 5 and lots of hearts...THANKS again. Luz
Note to hosts: I have deleted a comment here that was filled with foul language and a childish attitude after I rated someone a "3" when they mailed a swap more than 2 weeks after the Send By date. I do not appreciate the nasty language and will remove it if it shows up again.
Thank you for joining my "Mottos, Otto" swap. I think it's going to be a fun one, and I'm glad to have you come aboard.
Thank you for joining the Monthly ATC Swappers Group...Once this group really gets started I just know that we will all have lots of fun here...
Just browsing and noticed your name. Haha, nice. I'm just finishing a two year CAD course. :]
Thank you for joining my Newspaper ATC swap..I hope you have fun ...
melias: I hope you really will enjoy swapping on Swap-Bot. At minimum it makes going to check the mail A LOT MORE INTERESTING. :)
Hello CADLady, thanks for nudging me about my profile--I've filled it in and now have an actual personality! This is my first swap and I'm really looking forward to it.
Molimo & iamlillian:
