My art event went off without a hitch -39th annual art association show with proceeds going to the local school art programs and I was the coordinator for the whole thing.--Gave my sis my swaps to mail out as planned and she promptly got into a head on collision -hit and run- she and her bf are sore but unhurt and the car is currently in impound with all my swaps in the trunk. I went up the mountain - blew out my knee and on the way back down, my 75 yr old Da kept loosing his balance and falling down - he's fine just has vertigo he failed to tell me about (grr) So I'm home and will be fixing all my current no sends. I''ll be contacting everyone personally, so if you haven heard from me PLEASE pm me asap! I'll make good and add extras. (so much for my vacation this year :-/
***********BEGINNING OF FYI *************

************END OF FYI*******
Riverside, California native Kerre Reese has been living in the Bay Area for 17 years. The past 11 have been in Martinez.
Kerre has been a working artist in several mediums for more than 25 years. She is currently painting a 27 x 8 ft Trompe L’oeil mural of a Tuscan countryside in acrylic. On a smaller scale, she also paints with watercolors on paper and making a glass bead and mirror, one-of-a-kind sun catcher/wind chime combination she calls SunChimes. Several of her SunChimes can be found at the Riverside Art Museum gift shop. You might also find her crocheting, sewing or quilting or mixing her own herbal bath stuffs.
Kerre has studied several seasons with Bay Area Watercolorist Casey Rasmussen-White. Kerre’s watercolor works have been on display at Pleasant Hill Borders Books and Music and at the Riverside Art Museum’s 2nd, 3rd & 4th annual “Off The Wall" exhibit. Currently her work is on display at the mARTinez GALLERY at 630 Court Street Martinez.
Kerre is the Vice President of the Martinez Arts Association and a member of the Riverside Art Museum
On a more personal note, I'm a 44 yr old single (happily divorced), childless by choice, liberal, happy, backpacking, bibliophile, former historical costumer & Ren Fair Brat, Pagan woman who loves to cook, garden, play with her 4 rescued Manx Cats and Pembroke Welsh Corgi and has better things to do with her time than keep a spotless house.
Also on mycorgi.com page I have videos of Chloe the Manx walking Willie the corgi
Loreena mckennitt, Most anything Celtic including bagpipes (my Da plays)& sound tracks, world music, Gypsy Kings, The Corrs, Kiss...... and I can't even begin to list them all sigh Pretty much anything but rap and country
I'm addicted to books on cd or tape. Especially the Outlander Series by Diana Gaboldon and Elizabeth Peters Amelia Peabody series :-D
Oh, I read several books a week, my personal library is in the thousands and I am alsways going to the library to check out others ...but faves are Laurell K Hamilton, Sherilyn Kenyon, Lora Leigh, JD Robb, Elizabeth Peters, Janet Evanovich, Elizabeth Lowell, James Paterson's - Maximum Ride series, Katie McAllister, Kelley Armstrong, Kim Harrison, MR Sellars, CJ Cherryh, Diana Gabaldon, Dean Koontz, Morgan Hawke, JR Ward, Angela Knight and just about anything from the Publishers: Ellora's Cave, Samhain, Loose-Id & Red Sage. I read mostly Paranormal & Erotic Romances, oh and the Yaoi manga is cool too
Love anime.Looks like I'm going to have to invest in Full Metal ALchemist and a couple of others. I can watch all 3 LOTR over and and I do :-) Love Firefly and Serenity, Ghost Rider, The Mummy - Brandon Fraser, Princess Bride, Willow, Underworld -both, all 3 Matrix, The new BSG series, pretty much anything Sci-Fi and the list goes on..
No cable and thats the only way to get any TV so I go to my sisters on Friday night to catch up on CSI-Vegas and Battlestar Galactica and thats it.
Well as my very formal bio states I do a little bit of everything. and lots of stuff I want to try. Last crocheting I did were potholders with a skull on them to practice chart reading. I also bead something I call SunChimes, also called Garden Jewelery. It uses small mosaic mirrors and stained glass as well as glass beads and metal charms and bells. Next I want to try needle felting. Oh and I'm currently on a soft sculpture Goddess doll kick - ACK!! I just discovered ATC's I'm doomed!
I am a bright bold color person not usually soft pastels or patterns. I definitely do NOT do pink as a main color. My bedroom is currently blue and white, my Kitchen is white with blue and copper accents and lots of chickens & roosters and my living room right now is mostly navy and gold with multiple red accents. I have one room that has nothing but filled bookcases floor to ceiling and more books stacked on the floor :-)
Love Purples and greens and blue reds more than the yellow reds
I am crocheting baby blankets, hats, scarves, mittens and slippers from donated scrap yarn to send to the troops in Afghanistan. From there they are distributed to the Afghanis in need. Most of the things are made from multiple bits of yarn, so they end up looking like a crazy quilt - no 2 are alike
