HI! I'm Wendy. I've been doing crafts since I was 6, that was about the time my mom started trusting me with sharp objects (I cut myself more now than when I was a kid). I'm 46 have no kids. Have been in a LTR with the same guy now for over 10 years. I used to teach classes at Michaels craft stores (Tucson, AZ) and Joanne Fabric and Crafts (Austin,TX). And I currently work for Hobby Lobby in PA. I have been absent from Swapbot for a while now, due to two moves in under 6 months, and I'm so ready to get back to swapping.
I've worked with polymer clay, gourds, glass etching. I've designed earrings, costumes, skating dresses, and logos. I've made various stuffed animals and dolls. Every year I make Christmas ornaments to give as presents, I also make my own Christmas cards every year. I have been making ATC's for a little over 4 years now. I like rubber stamping and some scrapbooking.
I've painted a few animals on rocks, but pretty much gave that up when I realized it cost more to send them than paint them.
I'm wanting to learn how to airbrush, I've had the airbrush for 9 years I think it's about time to bust it out of it's package.
Beatles, 80's, Enigma, Paul McCartney. Classic rock. STILL stuck in a FALCO groove. I hate to think how much music we lost in him and John Lennon.
Numbers, Big Bang Theory, NCIS, CSI, Dirty Jobs (Sure just ask me about Dirty Jobs, if you've got the time....) Billy the Exterminator, Ghost Hunters, 2 1/2 Men. Just about anything on the Sci Fi channel, or Discovery, HGTV (I miss Carol Duvall)
Artsy Fartsy stuff. Asian, egyptian and Celtic themes. Purples, greens. I ADORE anything that has to do with the Beatles or crafting. I love rubberstamps, especially embossing powders. I used to LOVE Hello Kitty, just can't spend the money on it anymore. I like the Kawaii stuff (I didn't even know it existed until I saw it here)that's out there now. OOOOH just discovered Skullies! Too cute! Just recently have gotten into Steampunk.
I don't do cutesy. Especially babies. I had my fill already, even though I've never had any. Or religious. Not fond of pink. MARTHA STEWART!
My guy Steve! Brendan Fraser, Adrian Paul (met, drool), Mike Rowe (met, He actually smells good!) His sidekick snicker Dave Barsky (met, great guy!), Paul McCartney (was within 20 feet of him, I chickened out), John Schneider (met, another great guy) that's about it until something else happens.
A Wishblade (got one! now gotta figure out how to use it)
Face rubber stamps.
Landscape rubber stamps.
Shrink plastic that goes through the computer printer. Especially clear! (can't find that anymore)
Embossing powders.
Sizzix/Sizzlets dies.
Really cool ephemra. (Asian, Egyptian, & Celtic)
Makin's clay. (can't buy it here anymore)
Nice air dry clay.
Push molds (non cutesy)
Big chunks of natural Mica. Bigger than 2 inches square.
Otherwise I pretty much have everything I need.
I just recently had my ears repierced! Woo hoo! I have 3 in my left 2 in my right. I'm trying to get into a few jewerly swaps. I can't wear gold (allergic, go figure) Nothing with nickel silver. Surgical steel and sterling silver is ok. As for colors, anything is good. Just nothing to bulky.

Have you tried Arizona Art Supply for the clear shrinky stuff to put into the printer? I thought I saw some there at the Phoenix store. Went to an ATC meet/swap/instruction thingy there and met someone else on swapbot- too cool!

Hello Seestor...Ok, I poked around and I guess I could get hooked! Great subjects to stimulate creativity. Hmmm...seems like being a newbie is the challenge. How many swaps do you have to do before you're not a newbie anymore?
welcome to swap-bot wendy!
