I'm a retired grandmother who loves to cook, read, do paper/computer crafts and meet new people.

I spent a lot of years in government and a lot of years around the world. Different lifetimes.

I post the date I ACTUALLY send items, so if you don't get something in a reasonable time, PLEASE contact me, so I can resend. I usually have electronic copies of all that I make.

If you are an artist (mixed media, atcs, collage, paint, crochet, knitting, writing...) and interested in attending Bad Art Nights in the greater Annapolis MD area, SwapMail me. I want to get this going in the fall - 2008.

Right now, I am looking at October for this.

I really like to read but mostly these days, I am reading either technical stuff i.e. html, Photoshop, OSX Leopard....as well as fiction that is set in a country other than the US. I've really taken to a lot of the Asian fiction.

I like to cook...a lot. I also like to eat and it's hard to stay only somewhat overweight.

I only started baking since I remarried, and am not so good at it, but I have fun. I don't like following recipes so you can imagine the struggle I have baking.

I've also gone back to bread making (making the dough in either the KA or the bread maker, but baking it in the oven).

I love learning to take pictures of my food, and my children wonder why my flickr pages are filled with food. Cause I Want To!

Colors- green,yellow - tho a slight touch of red does wonders for most images

Drink - Lasong Souchong tea; I am a confirmed tea drinker tho I don't care for flavored teas

Cat - Siamese - I have a history of these Asian boys who 'went south' i.e. got out of the house and moved to the trailer park in central Florida where I am told they all live.

Currently we have a 15 yr old male Lilacpoint who seems to be working at being a professional sleeper.

I used to be much more 'catholic' in my musical taste till I married an opera lover. Now I am out of the loop, and am finding I prefer music w/o lyrics. I miss having someone to go to concerts with tho I think I lost my ability to stand for 3 hrs sometimes as I hit 60!

My Ipod is about half full but I realize I tend to listen to most of the same things, esp the playlist called Exercise (at the gym). Ugh. And boy should I be at that gym now!

What I like best is making collages with both print and digital input. I have a world of ephemera (some may call it clutter...)

I like to do things with my hands, in addition to cooking which was my greatest relaxation while working. Now I am happy making things with paper, collages in particular and simply decorated postcards.

I am slowly teaching myself Photoshop Elements and it's more like plodding but I keep at it. I am working with PE 4 on my Mac. I love seeing things on that 24" screen!

I don't have any interest in Pagan, Religious or Cutsey things.

Please, no smoke filled items or scented ones unless the scent is pine. Pine, not Lestoil pine! ;-)
