About Me

I am 31 years old, from Malta. I have been married for almost 10 years. Up until last Christmas we had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Scamp ( I cannot get myself to remove this part), we have a tri-color cat called Tipsy and we just got a new puppy gal, an English Setter we called Brew. I am a qualified Beauty and Massage Therapist, but currently studying towards becoming a Kindergarten teacher.

At this point in my life - I am trying to remain afloat, one foot after another, stay positive and be grateful.

My philosophy is 'it matters not where you're going, nor when you're going to get there; all that matters is the journey.'

I like listening to music, especially rock ballads.

I love animals - dogs and cats, dolphins, horses, tigers and lions, giraffes ... all of the animal kingdom - but horrified of snakes.

I love flowers, my favorite being Lilies.
I like anything Gorjuss, too :) I like things colorful, bright and cheerful though my favorite are pink & purple. I am also fascinated by images of angels, fairies, dragons, gnomes, unicorns and depictions found on oracle cards. I am a collector - I collect semi-precious stones and crystals, I collect shells, feathers, stamps, coins, photographs, stickers, Greek mythology statues and hand-written or blank Journals/diaries - which I write in regularly. I enjoy travelling to places rich in cultural heritage, with ancient landmarks and monuments, but also to places with natural, wild beauty where I can take landscape photographs.

Favorite Books

My favorite book is 'A walk to remember'(also my fav. movie) by Nicholas Sparks. I like reading fairy-tales, myths and legends, and general chic-lit. I tend to lean towards book series too.

Books that I've enjoyed: Memoirs of a Geisha Harry Potter Jezebel - Eleanor De Jong Goddess of Spring - P.C. Cast The Hunger Games Eat Pray Love 'The Godfather - Mario Puzo Undead and unwed - MaryJanice Davidson Persephone - Kaitlin Bevis

Books by Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk, Kaitlin Bevis. Books where the protagonist traves to other countries / visits new places - like the' Lonely hearts travel club' book series & the 'I heart' series.

Favorite Crafts

I do a lot of crafts; from crochet to sewing, to all sorts of paper crafts. Currently focused on Scrap-booking and cards making. I'm the kind of person who sees/thinks of something and will try to make it with my own hands - sometimes not quite successfully but on the whole I'm pretty happy with the results :)

Postcard wishlist

        • At this current moment I have a project to journal on postcards, so blank postcards in an envelope will be appreciated - - - - Touristy postcards of specific places, these I would prefer written and stamped directly.

The list is (virtually) infinite :) I like almost everything - in fact it would be easier to mention what I do not like (snakes, gory, nude people at the beach or wearing tiny swim wear)

I am sure whatever I receive I will like :) but if you're looking for inspiration:

My wish list:

Gorjuss and Santoro postcards

Sailor Moon postcards

French flowers ... all flowers

Cute Animals - NO Snakes pls

Disney characters

Halloween / Thanksgiving / Christmas / Valentine / Easter - in envelope any time of the year

Art Nouveau

Harry Potter

Ships/Boats/Trains/Bicycles/Hot air balloons

Fairies / Mermaids / Elves / Gnomes / Angels / Dragons - fantasy art.

Books related

Pagan themed

Hades and Persephone and Demeter related

Greek Mythology related, especially Gods and Goddesses

Pomegranate / Wheat / Grapes/ Wine

Any thing fairy-tale / myth and legend that is romantic/love related.

I would love to receive these kind of postcards and similar ones but I will also like any view postcards of countries, gardens, ocean, lakes, mountains etccc...

What to write??

At this current moment I have a project to journal on postcards, so blank postcards in an envelope will be appreciated - you can send me the necessary writing swap requirements on another piece of paper if you like - I have these filed and collected too :)

And yet ...

I will still be happy with anything you'd share with me. I hope I do not only get to read 'Hi this is oxo from xyz, Have a nice day' kind of Postcards/writings. Even just a few words about the country or town would make me smile.

Here are some inspirational points:

Your name - tell me it's origin, meaning, how it was chosen for you (if you know).

Book quote - source and why you like it

Favorite poem verse(s)

A memory - childhood, holiday, vacation. family tradition.

Favorite song verse(s)

Did you know ...

a Pencil/pen drawing

Favorite wine - and why you like it.

Favorite drink/food - and why you like them

A recipe

Choose an animal/flower you find beautiful and tell me why you think it's beautiful.

Choose a sense ( taste, smell ..) and tell me how you feel about it.

How are you feeling today?

Do you do what makes you happy?

Have you made yourself proud lately?

A joke that never ceases to make you and other people laugh.

An act of kindness - received or given

What I like receiving :)

All things Gorjuss, Sailor Moon and Kawaii - Any thing!

Anything Paris related Anything Greek Mythology related Anything in Pinks and Purples.

TEA - the ones that are individually packaged. I would try (almost) any tea flavour - but not the Green tea variety.

Palm size models of ancient sacred sites. old letters and loose journal entries used cards, postcards etc.... Journals & notebooks wax seals and wax stationery, labels, letter writing sets, hand-made envelopes, Stickers & washi tape, rubber stamps

Things I can use for scrapbooking like papers, tags, die cuts, used tickets, stamps etc... woody or musky incense (sticks or loose) - especially those with sandalwood and frankincense. essential oils Anything Hades & Persephone & Demeter. Narcissus and Lilies. - fresh, dry, pressed, picture cut-out, stamps ....

Romantic/Love poems & quotes & books

Dainty earrings and pendents Beaded (hand-made) jewlery

ribbons Journal art pages - signed (on paper not cardstock so that I can stick them in my journals)

Woody and musky perfumes/scents ( + lavender) Miniature or interestingly shaped perfume bottles candles and wax tarts

Least favorite things:

Badly or carelessly made things. Broken or damaged things that I can't fix or up-cycle into something else.

Green Tea

Anything with Snakes on it.

Boyish manga and anime (the girly ones I love)

Images of horror, violence and abuse against other beings and against nature. If it's meant to sadden or shock the viewer (even to make him/her aware of some important reality) I don't want to see it - I don't need to see a picture full of tree stumps to know that too many trees are being cut down, destroying homes to many animal species.... The same goes for illnesses, sickness, injuries, blood scenes etc....

Mint flavored chocolates and those with raisins and fruits.

Citrus perfumes/scents

Skin care product (as a beautician I make my own) Make up ( again as a beautician I have cases full, to last me and my clients for a lifetime :) - ) Nail polish, unless it's gel polish (regular nail polish doesn't dry on my oily nails and I have tons of them - gel polish I have a whole range available too but at least those I use)

Short or frailed ribbons

Unsigned works of art - ATC, Postcards, drawings and paintings. - pls sign them :) every artist deserves credit for his/her work.

I won't rate down if I receive things from this list, because I know that not everyone reads their partner's profile but probably I will hold back on the heart in that case.

About sent mail!!!

I put my mail in the post in the evening, so the date stamp could be on the day after, or even the next, some times. I do not send late mail, I send postcards and letters and mail in time from the deadline. I do check out my partner(s) profiles and try to match their wish list as best as I can in the hopes that they like what I send. If you don't receive a swap from me please do send me a message and/or email before rating with a 1- as it will probably end up giving me anxiety! I am willing to also send another swap if necessary.

Comment: Thank you Francella, for the beautiful selection of teas and the washi samples. Unfortunately we’ve had record bad weather the last few days and my mail got really wet, so I’m hoping it will all be great once it dries a bit. The Turkish style tea smells amazing though. It was the first thing I could smell and the first one I think I’ll try. My favourite jasmine tea is loose leaf too, but also I am a bit unsure about sending it via post, it could be mistaken for other things without the proper packaging! Better to be safe than sorry! 😊☺️
