Generalissimo

I have approximately 5 grey hairs, am either 5'4" or 5'6", and wear wide sized shoes. My birthday is in July - I'm a Cancer. I am married, with a 2-year old daughter. We just moved back to Louisiana after a year and a half in Portland due to Hurricane Katrina, and we are very glad to be home!

I like scrapbook paper, but not most other scrapbook accessories. Stickers will probably go to my daughter, but that isn't a bad thing at all! I move a lot, so I don't collect anything too huge. But I love small art objects, jewelry, and flat items like postcards and posters.

Some of my interests are blue glass, art nouveau, collage art, mail art, rabbits, owls, hedgehogs, beads, sideshows, travel, water, parody, home decor, the Edwardian era, book-Oz and roadside attractions.

And two things I'm really not into at all - country decor & irony

Right this minute I'm really into the Futureheads. I read the WFMU blog... I dig smart weirdness. I don't like pop country, but I like real country music. I don't love rap, but I like it sometimes, likewise for opera. The rest is all good.

The Last Unicorn, Evil Dead, Adventures of Baron Munchausen... pretty much any comedic fantasy.

K-Ville is not as bad as I expected it to be.

Paper crafts, assemblage, rubber stamps (sometimes carved)... Lately I've been making a lot of jewelry, too. I sew well enough for myself, but I don't think anyone else would want my sewing...

I love Terry Pratchett, Christopher Moore, Neil Gaiman and the like.

I am also interested in non-fiction about grammar, random facts, forteana, or medieval history.
