About Me

A grandmother of three, mother of four, wife to one for 45 years on Feb. 16. Mama to two cats. Native Kentuckian now living in Texas.

A packrat married to another packrat. We love antiquing and yard saleing.

Reds, Blues, and Greens and all colors in the rainbow. However, I am presently into greens. Also, really love whatever color my granddaughter's hair is when she comes to visit. First, it was hot pink , then, it was purple, next came teal.

Favorite Music

Country. Oldies. And anything the Statlers sing: the newspaper, phone book, dictionary, etc.

Things I Like / Collections

I love to collect: buttons, any sewing notions (especially vintage), thimbles, cookbooks, salt and pepper shakers (my oldest collection), Annalees, Furbys, and miniatures.

Ornaments (especially the old ones) - Tried and True Recipes / Family Recipes - Handmade anything - Art Dolls - Unique thimbles - ATCs. and MORE buttons.

Just received my first Dotee doll - a friend for her would be nice - Thanks to sweet swappers, my Dotee has a couple of friends now.

Have never seen or received a Whimsey jar. I have now received a Whimsey jar - love it.

I love collaged items and I love to upcycle. Altered anything makes my day. Any tidbits for this purpose are always a treat.

German scrap, lovely lady images, or any holiday images would all be appreceiated. Tidbits and tinies suitable for ATCs and smaller art would just put me over the moon.

Things I'm Not Fond Of

No Cheap, Dollar Store items -

I love vintage, aged, items. Not dirty (please don't send it to me just to keep from throwing it away).

I do not need wallpaper samples, scrapbooking papers, or fabrics unless they are required in a swap I have joined.

Favorite Crafts

I love to try new crafts but cannot see well enough for counted cross-stitch. If you have a favorite craft that you would like to share, I'd love to give it a try. Detailed instructions and a picture would be perfect.

IMPORTANT :

Please, NO candles. If they are left in the mailbox or on the porch - in this Texas heat they melt.

Just a Note......

I was asked to do a more detailed profile. I've tried to list the things I'm interested in without sounding greedy. I'm diabetic but I am very good about sharing any yummies that may come my way. Chocolate kind of stays with me and is savored over several days. lol

Comment: thanks Joan - I know Barbie is hard to find - sometimes I've seen the newer Barbies, but not the vintage ones. But, I do like Tinkerbell and both cards were really nice. Can't have too much fairy dust!
