About Me

Amy from Canada, if you read this, I received Keroppi stickers from you but I have no idea why. No swap name, tag name nor user name was in or on the package. If you see this let me know so I can give you proper credit. Thanks for the stickers!
I reuse packaging.

I'm pretty sure I'm starting to lose my mind. I'm not a flaker, so if you have not received from me, please let me know! I would most certainly not not send you your swap. :D Thanks for reading this public service announcement, and have a nice day!

Hi, my name is Simone. And now I am a Swap-bot addict. :D

The basics: I'm 38, a married mother of 1. My daughter is 16 and so far I could not have asked for a better kid. I usually do part-time work outside the home. This leaves me with lots of time to explore all the new crafts I'm hearing about. I'm currently trying to teach myself how to crochet, but I fear I'll never be good enough to make the Amigurumi that pointed me in the direction of crochet.

I love going to thrift stores, goodwill, flea markets, antique stores, yard sales, rummage sales. All that jazz. I love finding things that remind me of when I was a child.

My Favorite color is Blue, but lately I've really been enjoying Pink and Yellow too.

We house 1 dog, 2 cats, and 2 tortoises.

Favorite Music

I like many different kinds of music. If it has a good beat then I'll probably like it. It doesn't have to be in english either!
I like Classic Rock, 80s/90s pop, rock and new wave. The last five years or so I've gotten into some J-pop and now some K-pop.

Favorite Books

Books I like to read: Mostly mystery/suspense. I enjoy sci-fi/fantasy and horror. Stephen King, Martha Grimes, Lovejoy stories, Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reichs, Tad Williams, CJ Cherryh, Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, the 3 Investigators, Trixie Belden. The list could go on and on.

Favorite Movies

I like movies from the 30s-50s as well as the current ones. I love discovering great old movies. I like dramas, comedies, Harry Potters(books too), some indie stuff, I like quirky movies and non mainstream too. It's too hard to pick favorites, but Like Water for Chocolate and Unbearable Lightness of Being, Japanese Story, Secrets & Lies, Muriel's Wedding, Harold & Maud, Arsenic & Old Lace, Harvey and Smokey & the Bandit are a few.

Favorite Television

Current TV shows I enjoy watching include:

Medium, Lost, The Unusuals(Cacelled!), Law & Order, 30 Rock, The Game , Weeds, Ugly Betty, Cash Cab, Monk, Little Britain.
I also love old shows like Leave it to Beaver, MASH, MTM, Dick Van Dyke, Bob Newhart. Pretty much all the stuff they used to show on TV land before the Cougar came along.

Favorite Crafts

Crafts I like to do: Bake, make quilts, sew a bit, crochet, and make Christmas cards.

I'd like to learn how to: Knit, Quill, felt.

I'm not the most creative when it comes to making my own designs or coming up with ideas. I do like to see how other people do something, then do it myself.
In other words, I'm a copy cat! :)

Comment: Thank you so much for the very nice X-Mas card. It is a really nice one. And many many thanks for the teatags. So nice that you were keeping them for me. And the best thing.... I didn´t have them. You said that they were all the same, but that´s not, because on the backside there is a special sentence and most of them are different. So you made my collection grow with 13 different teatags. So nice. Thank you so much! I wish I could give you more hearts! Have a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2010 for you, your family and friends!!
