About Me

I've been making art since I could hold a crayon, and drawing and sketching as long as I can remember. I've been trading ATCs since... 2003, or so. They are a consistent favorite, and something I always seem to return to from whatever other interests consume me from time to time! I most often work in Prismacolor colored pencils and/or watercolor paints, but am exploring collage and mixed media as well.

Favorite Crafts

As mentioned above, I do ATCs - I'm also exploring altered books and journals. .

Things I'd enjoy receiving...

I'd be delighted to receive any of the following:

  • paperdolls, esp. old ones.
  • Notecards for sending swaps
  • Little pitchers (not the kind with big ears :D
  • Handmade...potholders, Christmas ornaments, clothespin dolls, dotees, other little stuff (nicely made)
  • Miniatures (dollhouse things)
  • EZCut blocks for carving
  • 100% cotton fabric for quilts and crafts
  • Canceled postage
  • Odd embellishments like old jewelry
  • Fortunes from fortune cookies
  • Unused US postage, if you're feeling really generous :) any denomination is dandy
  • Interesting collage papers
  • Inspirational (wise, witty and whimsical) quotes

I don't really need any...

I'm pretty easy to please, but here are a few things I don't have much need for...or just am not into:

  • Stickers
  • Kid stuff
  • Cosmetics
  • Recipes/recipe cards
  • Anything patriotic
  • Anything kawaii/anime (except maybe Hello Kitty...! )
  • Most religious things, some vintage or visually interesting collage elements are good (joss papers, saint cards, etc)

ATC themes I like:

  • Alphabets/letters/numbers
  • Birds and Butterflies and things with wings
  • Collage: houses especially
  • Fabric
  • Innovative techniques
  • Journeys and journals
  • Maps and postage stamps
  • Steampunk
  • Trees
  • Textures
  • Text as a design element
  • Vintage; maps and travel, family photos and snapshots, portraits, illustrations
  • Witty, whimsical, wise quotations
  • Windows and doors
  • Words

Favorite Books

Anything by Elizabeth Goudge. Rumer Godden. Norah Lofts. The Brother Cadfael books by Ellis Peters. Alison Weir's historical stuff (not so much the novels)

And I love Jane Eyre!

Favorite Colors

Color is a passion for me: I love most any color, or combination of colors...neutrals, pastels, brights, earth tones, jewel tones... not so much into neon, or glittery (especially in fabrics), although metallic silver/gold accents are fine.

Comment: Never received anything..She sent me a message on Jan 22 saying she had misread the due date, But she would have it out that day or the next....I contacted her on Feb 1st after not receiving it...... She wrote back on the 5th saying she had not mailed it, but that she would mail it asap.. Still have not received it...So I have no choice but to rate you a one... If I ever get it I will change the rating.....
