I like child rearing, feminism, fairly tales, quiche, dogs and cats. I live in the woods with my husband, toddler, pets, and visits from bears who eat our berries.

Cat Power, Belle and Sebastian, Mirah, Mum, things that go bleep and bloop, du-wop!

Favorite Books

Everything. Fiction [even the trashy chick-lit everyone pretends to hate] non fiction, memoirs, biographies, history/philosophy/gender studies. I am a book addict.

Favorite Movies

Horror! And a smidgen of the indie films. And children's moves -- who can list when there's so many movies?

Favorite Crafts

I'm the least crafty person, but I do enjoy composing letters, making collages, painting things, and collecting vintage treasures.

We don't like:

Gender roles! Plastic toys that make noise and suck up battery juice, and being wasteful

Baby Weird likes:

Dinosaurs, wooden toys, blocks and musical instruments, story books, simple toys, doll house furniture for our shadow box, homemade art prints, and craft supplies!

Response: It is a bummer sometimes! I hear her giggling and I'm like OH! What are you doing! And I take breaks. But I'd rather work at home and get to take those breaks than be stuck somehwere else, you know?
