Updated 5/31/13 Working mom. I love music, coffee, tea, and crafts and love the idea of giving and receiving neat stuff from mail.
My almost 12 year old daughter loves the Beatles and Glee songs right now.
I love jazz, folk music, pop/ballad. Among favorite artists include Stan Getz, David Wilcox, Adele. I just rediscovered the Dave Matthews Band. We watched them live at NOLA jazzfest and they were awesome...
I like craft books, self help books, fiction, non- fiction, cook books and even diet books. ;) I listen to Audio books. Favorite Authors include - Robert Ludlum, Anna Quindlen. Last book read: Hunger games.
I probably haven't missed a season of Survivor and I still love it, Top Chef, American Idol and DWTS, project runway ( the last 2 i watch with my daughter). I like Jeopardy, late night talk shows. I like Downton Abbey, travel docs
I love Chick flicks. Don't watch horror movies. Love the Guy from Music and Lyrics - Hugh Grant - I watch movies where he stars in. I also like Harrison Ford, Julia Robert and Tom Hanks, Patrick Wilson. I recently watched , all 6 starwars to introduce to my daughter, and My best friend's wedding, still enjoyed it.
My husband would reluctantly watch the movies with me. But I make sure he never forgets when he had to choose and picked Starship Troopers.
Oh Crafts! I started with cross stitching. I like cross stitching Hearts.
Next, fell in love with rubber stamping - I began buying supplies but never got to do as much as i wanted to. I love making greeting cards, love scrap booking. I like doing inchies and matchboxes, mini-albums. I love to make dotees and stuffed heart-shaped ornaments. I love vintage prints and ribbons. Currently into smashbooking. I love watching youtube for tutorials - tons of them. Best thing I did is a travel mini album for my mom-in-law and teabag-like papercraft ornaments to fill with personalized M&M's and gift card to send out for christmas. Everyone loved it.
Also did crocheting, knitting when I was younger.
Swap-bot!!! which i came accross while at twitter.com.

Food - sweet treats, chocolates, love sushi, pastry, cakes. Drinks - coffee, espresso, tea (no caffeine please), bubble tea. I like to try food from different countries or regions. Starting to like Paleo recipes. FOR CHOCOLATE SWAPS: I prefer few small ones to try rather than a bar, if possible. Crafts - love greeting cards, i like dotee dolls (made my first one on 3/29/09), cross-stitch especially hearts, any crafts (cute, mini, unique ones), i like scrap booking and I am currently into mini-albums and card-making. I enjoy swapping thru Swapbot!!! Thanks.
I was flaked once, and my partner just disappeared from swapbot - so I did not get to rate her. It was one of the thrifstore finds swap and I really got a pretty one for my partner and I was excited to get one - but did not get any...sad. So to new swappers, don't do too much at a time. It can be stressful. My max at a time is 3, 4 if they are easy ones. Bottomline is you want to enjoy the experience for you and one who receives your swap. If you can't do it like say last minute things come your way, or you are too busy - send to your partner what you received, and send a note. There are no excuses for not being able to send one. ALSO, DON'T FORGET TO RATE as soon as you can. At least for me, I always am anxious to know if my partner receives the swap item/s, and I am excited to know how i did, always aiming for hearts. I am also waiting for the rating, so I can move on and pick another swap to do.
