Nov. 26, 2012 My beautiful Mama passed from this life early this morning. All prayers appreciated. UPDATE: We buried Mom on Nov. 30. On Dec. 1, the next day, our "Papaw" Ray passed away. We buried him on Dec. 7. The week of Nov. 19-23 I was with my Mom at the hospital. I think all my swaps are late! I'm so sorry. I had stuff laid out to mail and it didn't all get mailed. I will get caught up though.

UPDATE: 5/10/12 Starting to feel human again after 3 months on antibiotics for chronic illness. My poor baby girl has been sick almost all this time too. Finished up a 13 week Grief Share class and that has helped push me into the healing process after losing 8 family members and friends in 13 months. I have up days and down days. Thankful that I'm starting to have more "up" days than I was. The grieving process is slow and draining. My Mom is hanging in there...getting closer to needing assisted living now and oh! what a battle with her.

UPDATE: 2/4/12 One of these days, I hope my life is so boring that I do not need to have any updates at ALL! lol My mom has been in the hospital again in her home town and then was transported to a heart hospital in Indianapolis. After a stay there and a heart cath, she is in a nursing home for lung rehab. Her lack-of-oxygen-to the brain induced dementia is getting much worse. I feel like I've lost my mom and she's still breathing. This is my first personal experience with dementia and it's so sad and difficult. The family member I mentioned below that has cancer has decided against any type of treatment. :(

In 2010/2011, we lost 8 family members We recently started a Grief Share class and I have to say, what a blessing! The deaths happened so fast that their was never time to grieve anyone and it's all caught up with us. Loving this class...and hearing my forgetfulness, sadness, depression, etc. is normal for all we've been through.

UPDATE: 12/22/11 Just found out another family member has cancer in his spine and liver. Sigh. 2011 has been the most difficult year...too many losses. I'm going to take a swapping break for a while. I might do some private swaps and maybe a regular swap here or there, but I just need a break. I need time to grieve...with so many deaths so close together, there's been no time to process anything and really grieve. I plan to work hard in 2012 to get back on track.

UPDATE: 11/23/11 My grandpa died today, so I will be out of town until the 26th or 27th. Sorry for any inconvenience.

UPDATE: 10/26/11 Well, mom was in the ER 5 times in Sept. and Oct. and in the hospital for about 3 weeks or so total. Then, the DR sent her to a nursing home for some respiratory therapy. She is improving and will continue the therapy at home. Thanks to everyone that has prayed for us, sent cards, etc. It means a lot!!

UPDATE: Since my last update, my mom was in the ER a total of 3 times and was in the hospital for 2 weeks this month. It's been crazy...stressful...she is currently home, but I'm not sure for how long. We have an appointment with her DR tomorrow. Mom is suffering from COPD/emphesemia (sp?) and now on oxygen all the time.

SEPT 13..My mom is in the ER...please pray! An ambulance took her to the ER yesterday but the hospital sent her back home. Chest pain this week...pain radiating in her back. Pray for me as I hit the road with a sick baby girl. I will catch up with swaps ASAP!!! SO sorry!

For sticker & note card themes, I love anything Autumn related (apples, pumpkins, etc.), snowmen, Christmas, flowers, girly...just about anything BUT teacher reward and boyish toys like transformers or whatever.

I am a Christian, so I love Christian themed things...not a collector of angels or anything, but I'm not offended by stickers or cards with Scriptures on them...in fact, I love them!

I don't like nick nacks. I have a 3 year old, so I'm all about things being childproof! lol

I love to shop at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Half Price Books, Homegoods, etc.

I am VERY allergic to cat hair, cigarette smoke, coffee scented things and floral scented things.

DISLIKES:

• Jewelry.
• Coffee and anything coffee flavored or scented
• Pagan, goth, bats, wiccan stuff

I love Christian fiction, historical romances, etc. I do not like books with trashy language and no morals! LOL I LOVE magazines! Stamping mags, country type magazines, home decorating...LOVE them! lol I even love second hand mags & books!
