I'm a Gap year student with a place at medicine school in September who loves all things crafty. In my year out i'm doing a mainly textile based art A-level, working at a local hospital and making anything i can inbetween! I love all things vintage, dolls, and bringing old clothes back to life - not redesign - just mending! My mums been a sewer all her life, so the house is just full of bits and bobs longing to be prettied up, put together, packed up and swapped!

I LIKE:

~ cupcakes, mushrooms, russian dolls, owls

~ whimsey jars and matchboxes

~ dragons and fairies

~ anything military

~ recycling!

~ dragonflies, beetles

~ rubber ducks :)

~ Keys (mainly old and rusty/interesting)

I DISLIKE:

~ anything religious

~ anything TOO floral

~ glitter/shine

~ butterflies

~ PAPERS AND STICKERS

Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Rebecca, The Woman in White...

Garth Nix's Books, Neil Galman, Eoin Colfer, Phillip Pullman, The Bronte's, Tolkein, Rowling...

and the list goes on! My bookshelves are stuffed full of old childrens books or dictionaries - anything old, loved or with a pretty cover! I love the well read loved feeling of an old book. I therefore also love bookmarks :)

I am a sewer not a crafter - so i do not like stick on things. Buttons/ribbons/braids/lace are fab though! I like handmade papers only or vintage pictures/pages from old books. Old photos are lovely too, as are vintage postcards. Check out my blog - i adore fabric/ribbon scraps to use up so feel free to send yours my way! I love handmade things and new ideas.

~ SILVER RINGS of any description - and an upper arm cuff although i fear i dream only!

~ SUNGLASSES CASE (and big vintage sunglasses!)

~ HANDMADE SOAP

~ RING BACKS to make into rings - with buttons or otherwise

~ STUD EARRINGS these can be single - i have 6 ear piercings and never wear matching studs :)

~ dottee doll kit - i do not actually make dottee's... but i make these which are very similar you think??

~ vintage fabric - i would love large pieces since i make rather large bags like this and its surprising how much you need!

~ rubber ducks

~ old cigar boxes

~ silk scraps and mohair 50g balls for my ma :)
