About Me

I’m a medical Student at Glasgow university who loves all things crafty. I had a gap year and worked in the local hospital, did 2 extra A levels and crafted as much as i could in-between! I applied for the UK foundation programme very recently, which means ill be soon out in the real world as a junior doctor! Wish me luck!

My mums been a sewer all her life, so the house is just full of bits and bobs longing to be prettied up, put together, packed up and swapped! As of 2013 she has her own blog to show off her crafty things - don't forget to check us out! I'm now in year 5 of med school (nearly there!) and am still crafting away. Inbetween crafting I run and salsa as often as possible. I've also just started pole-dancing and choir! I sell at craft fairs too - home made goodies and vintage bits from my collecting. Money made just funds more buying though :p

Favorite Crafts

~Crocheting - amigurumi and toys and the odd accessory - hats, armies etc

~Embroidery - hand and free machine stitching, sewing and playing with felt.

~Sewing

Favorite Books

Book addict, no point even listing the classic and definite non-classics that have littered by book stand over the years.

My bookshelves are stuffed full of old childrens books or dictionaries - anything old, loved or with a pretty cover! I love the well read loved feeling of an old book.

Wishlist

~ Embroidery threads

~ Chunky threads for couching on, the brighter and more glittery the better.

~ Vintage sewing bits and bobs - maybe needle cases or spools

~ Lace - small thin pieces particularly :), old vintage bits are wow.

~ Buttons and beads

~ Vintage accessories - maybe scraps of clothes (cuff/collar/pocket)

~ VINTAGE PATTERNS (or new for that matter) for toys, dolls etc

~ Patterns for interesting new things...upcycling or paper crafts etc. Love a good pattern/tutorial.

~ Patterned or embossed felt

~ RING BACKS to make into rings - with buttons or otherwise

~ Old cigar boxes

~ vintage tins, particularly medical related ones e.g. plasters/pills

~ washi tape

~ I also love beautiful pictures particularly from books (although who cuts them up?! Isn't it horrible!) - particularly fairies or dragons etc

Flakers

Unfortunately it is time to add this to my profile.

I have been flaked on for the following swaps:

Animal Bookmarks by UpBeatnik

Teal and Yellow Matchbox Swap by Suninvited

Ribbon and Button Swap by Forevercharlene

Food!

Over the past four years at uni I have gathered a love for food and recipes. Great recipes suggestions that I would love might be...

~ Dips

~ Any slow-cooker recipes

~ I love to cook with spices - I have anything and everything in the house, and if I don't have it, I needs it!! Inspire me :)

Make-up

~ Nose studs/rings

~ Ear studs (I have 6 piercings plus a rook)

~ Eye liner

~ Lip liner

~ Nail varnish (glittery!)

~ Lipstick

Favorite Music

I love a huge, bizarre range of music and love discovering new (or old!) artists. I pester friends for new playlists quite often so a mix CD with your faves would always be welcome!

I love personalizing my belongings and I also like reading. To combine both, I came up with the idea of creating a profile related bookmark swap. This swap was created before the group.

Please feel free too visit my Profile Related Bookmark Swap and join.

Hoping we will have a lot of fun because I intend to do a series of them, but they will be within the Bookmarks of all kinds group that you can check and ask to join.

Happy swaps. Toupti =D
