Hat maker (I also teach hat making at the local Community College), writer, painter and now addicted to swap-bot! As I feel it is a super great way to connect to other crafty and creative people world wide! I love to cook and bake. My favorite thing is to tweek recipes- I'm not vegan, but make great vegan/gluten free baked goods. I'm also an animal adovcate. I love cats and I was rescued by two fabulous kitties...Mickeygirl (17) and Gus Gus (7). I'm also Fairy Godmother to a wonderful magical Tripawd (3 legs) dog from Africa brought to America- his name is Wooti.

My Likes

I love color! Purple, red, lime green, blues, any brights. No Flurocents...please I lived through the 1980s. I adore unique color combinations, like red and light blue or purple and blue.

Crazy For Polkas

Especially color on color polka dots- like blue dots on a green background...that sort of thing.

Vintage Aprons!!!! If we are in a craft swap and you like to cook or bake...you just might get an apron.

I love Victorian and Edwardian era items. I like Steampunk stuff as well. Also the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.

Love Vintage Christmas stuff. I love and believe in Santa. I love Angels as well. (Note here- I'm a very spritual and metaphysical/woo woo person and my relationship with God is very strong. I wish you the same. Let's keep it at that.)

What I Like To Craft

I make hats of all sorts and handbags. (If we are partners in a craft swap and you want a hat or handbag...just ask me or I might just surprise you)

I paint animal portraits

I can sew anything from a photo. Do you need an Armadillo Costume?

I'm beginning to explore paper crafts. Card making...yes, please. I don't have a lot of fancy card making stuff. I'm not so much a fan of brads and dodads and such. But feedback is I make great cards. I do put love in them. I'm not a scrap booker, but love all the scrap booking stuff, for cards.

NOT in to ATCs. I don't make them or trade them. If you send me one, I'll like it and appreciate it and then recycle it into something else...Sorry, just being honest.

I love glitter in all colors.

I knit, crotchet, and sew almost everyday. I also do some crewel, needlepoint and other needle crafts.

Trying to teach myself tatting. Not successful, yet.

Bead sometimes.

Recently discovered needle felting- I make needle felted Worry Monsters.

I love Hello Kitty and for other cute stuff...frogs. Raccoons and of course cats and birds.

When not on Swap-bot, I'm on the web site looking of ideas or search craft blogs for more ideas.

I love teaching people to craft and get creative. My dear husband, lives through it all and is just as creative as I am, only he does one project at a time...oh, really? That I don't understand! And yes I live in Portland (Portlandia) and we do put a bird on it! (I like to do that as well).

I Love Watching TV While I'm Crafting

TV-shows- Project Runway, Top Chef, The Fashion Show, RuPaul's Drag Race, Sewing with Nancy. The Office, 30Rock, Fraiser, Sex and the City reruns.Baggage. Chopped. Upstairs Downstairs. Downton Abby. If people are doing and making stuff...I'm watching. And more than likely making or doing stuff. Movies- Oldies from 1935 to 1969. Comedies! Well written dramas. My recent favorite is The King's Speech. Moonrise Kingdom. Love Actually is one of my all time favorites Not into violent movies. Or Fantasy

Books- Personal Growth and Crafts. Classic Literature. So, not into Harry Potter or Twilight.

A WORD ABOUT SCENTS AND PERFUMES

I'm extremely sensitive to all things scented or perfumed. There are days I really want perfume to be a criminal offense. Sorry scents give me migraines and some folks wear just too much (if you can smell it...you are wearing too much..really) Especially perfumes like vanilla, sandlewood, clinging scents. I do okay with spicy and lavender (so long as it doesn't have vanilla in it). Please error on the side of caution and don't send me anything remotely smelly or scented I don't smoke- so items come from a smoke-free home. I don't send cat hair through the mails. Sometimes...it sneaks in.

A Note On Food

I'm on Weight Watchers and headed towards goal. Food- Please don't send me any, thank you. If you want give it to a homeless person or shelter in my name. I make cookies and cupcakes as gifts for the homeless shelter, I have many acquaintances who are homeless- they need love and attention too and enjoy homemade food. I recently earned the nickname "Momma" from them.

I don't have my own kids, but I have adopted plenty of the world's children. Furry and un-furry That's me! I hope this is a complete enough profile. PM if you have questions.

I also will recycle envelopes and packaging. I hope you don't mind.
