Singings

I'm a boat drivin', river lovin', quiltin', embroiderin', craft lover, wife and mother of four (two his and two mine) who enjoys down time with my Husqvarna. And now, I find myself in love with dotee dolls! Who knew? :-) I posted a couple in process on my blog if you want to see my craftability.

I first embroidered a pillow with roses when I was in the fourth grade. My first blouse made from a pattern was when I was eight years old. My mother taught me how to sew, crochet, knit and draw instead of sitting me in front of the television and I'm so grateful. But I loved watching Wild, Wild West when I did watch TV...Robert Conrad was great eye candy for this little girl...hubba hubba!

My favorite color is red and I love dark red, royal blue, gold, black and burgandy.

I love to travel. I've gone on expeditions to Peru three times and hiked the Mollepata Inka Trail and it kicked my bottom! I stayed at Swami Kaleshwar's ashram in India for three weeks and that kicked my bottom too. :-)

I love meditation, silent meditation retreats, healers, shaman, mantras, ceremony, acupuncture, drawing, writing, angels and licorice.

I have three tattoos. One I had done when I was 16 years old on my middle finger and just had it covered up with a star, eclipse type thing. Now I love it! I also have a large Om symbol on my lower back. I just had cherry blossoms (symbolic of my parents that passed) added around my Om and I love them! Therefore, I love cherry blossoms...

Rock n' Roll FOREVER! Led Zeppelin, Janice, Dylan, Doors, Dio, Sabbath, Crue, Whitesnake, Disturbed, Pink Floyd, Godsmack, Sixx AM and I can't forget to mention WHITE STRIPES. Jack White's music and lyrics make me happy. (I'm updating my status and I'm still listening to Jack White in Dead Weather and such.)

I love music with a little edge and I'm interested in mellow deep old-religion music as well, Enya. Any suggestions?

I love concerts.

I tend to read non-fiction or how to's. I'm currently reading Wayne Dyer's Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life and it's amazing, With Sacred Threads, Creative Quilting: The Journal Quilt Project.

My favorite author is Manly P. Hall.

I love deep thought provoking books and spirituality.

Lord of the Rings... Practical Magic... A Dark Knight... Gone with the Wind, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, The Ya-Ya Sisterhood to name a few.

I will watch everything that Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler create.

My favorite actors are John Malkovich, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Gene Hackman, Jeff Goldbloom, Robert Downey Jr. and Sandra Bullock. AND Jude Law. He really impressed me in Sleuth. I'll watch everything I find them in.

I watch Law and Order, Heroes, CSI, Bravo Inside the Actors Studio, Project Runway and Lost. I usually click movies on demand. Okay, I was addicted to Daisy of Love. I laughed... Currently into Lost marathons and Heroes marathons - good stuff!

My #1 passion is to sew and design quilts. I love to make potholders, write, and make full moon quilts. I love scrapbook pages, rubber stamps, paint and screenprinting.

I like pretty witches, witch bonnet sue, lions, cats, kids, silk, jet boats, stars and stars, stick figures, cave drawings, goddess symbols, bathing suits, sandals, river, sand, rocks, trees, flowers, scandinavian motif, viking designs, sunsets, sunrise, moons and more moons, everything Finland, Peru, Machu Picchu, ruins, music, spirals, love...

I don't like used, scented (allergic) items. Happy pink girlie items, no horses, goats, dogs, cows, cats (unless black cats :-) and reptiles...how about no animals. No religious crosses, doves, etc.
