One of my favorite quotes "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." Leo F Buscaglia (1924-1998)
Welcome to our new grandson Tristan born on our wedding anniversary.
I do most art and craft. Creating is my passion. Swapping is an intrinsic part of aim toward a self sufficient /subsistence lifestyle whether it is skills sharing or creative areas such as this swap bot. A caution. I have been receiving spam from twitter and facebook, I am not on either of these under this user name, if someone is it is not me.
Postage and customs I take care in choosing what swaps to enter to prevent custom issues. please be aware that certain items must by law be declared on customs form before entering the country. It is best therefore not to send organic items to me included in craft such as , bone, feathers, coral, shells, handmade paper with plant matter or seeds in. etc as by law they will be inspected at customs [same items for post and travel] can be checked out at: http://www.daffa.gov.au/aqis/travel/entering-australia/cant-take
[This section required for some swaps]
I love all colours but especially pastels; black and white; craft featuring little fat birds, peacocks, chickens, teddy bears, pink roses and cats. I have very eclectic taste and love retro fabrics.
I find something positive in most things.
Things I like
goth, renaissance, edwardian, shabby chic [white and cream] and french provincial style. Tea cosies; vintage linens; embroidery yarns; craft market and Asian import finds; fat quarters; vintage style Swedish curtain prints
(especially styalised flowers, birds, trees and fruit). books on heritage linen, underwear, millinery, 1800's to 1930/40 recipe books. ethnic items representing your cultural traditional craft especially textile and embroidery.1920 and silent movie actresses. patterns for cloche hats.
Recycle vint/retro
crochet, embroidery, art deco, 1920-1940 style poster art.
fabric, fabric, fabric....
I don't have any real dislikes except graphic violence .
I LOVE 'french knitting dolls' or braid 'knitting dolls' and daisy makers, even retro op shop ones. I Love growing herbs, vegetables and flowers even though at the moment space is minimal so it is container gardening and vertical gardening. I collect preloved novels with Raven in the title.
Anything creative is positively looked upon. I am glad to be part of creative exchange with world neighbors. I rate for the effort put into the swap criteria not extras; which are not expected. Extras however are received with joy as a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated. I try to send early due to distance and start on non profile specific swaps the day I sign up.
I Love: old black and white movies and Gainsborough films, good science fiction, action films, period films, flaky comedies, some of the visually beautiful masterpieces coming out of Asian cinema in the last few years, anything with Johnny Depp or Colin Firth. Movie buff!!!
Music: eclectic taste Note: any CD's I may choose to include in swaps would be purchased legitimate soundtracks.
I prefer to work in textile craft and paper craft and do a lot of Recycle/ reuse art from: junk mail and excess packaging.
I am loving receiving an assortment of styles showing individuals flair.
I post then mark as sent same day. Please keep in mind date difference due to time difference and that our mail isn't stamped at the post office but when it gets to the mail sorting central office. I rate on same day as I receive. If you are concerned and have not received a parcel please message me before rating as I do not know if the mail has gone MIA just that I had posted it. I post all parcels airmail. Now most of the post office ladies sticky tape over the airmail stickers for me as they tend to come off with the humidity here and mail then ends up on a slow boat. Courtesy makes for a Happy swapping environment. I have learnt a lot since I have been on swapbot, dotees, atc, inchies, row houses, etc, what to do and what not to do (not to sign maiden name and have to sticker over with swap name) how to post internationally safely and filling out customs forms so the description will match the postal service xrays. etc.
Thanks to any previous angels, you know who you are.

Our son lost his best friend as falling masonry came down on him as he ran from his place of work.I have links on my profile page to photos and news and on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1315544413 ♥♥♥☺♥
