About Me

Hello there, I'm Sal a shy, geeky, rather childish girl from the North east of England. I live with two flatmates- one furry (a rabbit), one not in a little Roman founded town by the river ^^.

I tend to daydream a lot and live in my own little world, I'm quite nervous but always open to hearing from new people- I love to hear about other people's lives- no matter how humdrum you might think it is. I appreciate the small gentle things in life.

I graduated from university in Illustration and Design and this year I returned to University to study Library Management.. A bit of a change in career but I am hoping all my loose threads will come together one day & I'll be some sort of artist-librarian superhero ^-^ Wish me luck!

(If anything doesn't arrive, please contact me, I'm very happy to sort resends or alternatives out)

I cannot give the reasons, I only sing the tunes: The sadness of the seasons, The madness of the moons.

~I cannot give the reasons- Mervyn Peake

Comment: AWESOME SWAP! i admit it, i smelled the laces to see if they were strawberry-scented ... my son thought i was ridiculous for thinking they would be. i love them and am putting them in my work shoes to show them off. i'm going to glue a magnet on the 'shroom and display it proudly on the refrigerator! you did a great job with the beads for your first time with them ... they can be tricky. i'm trying to think of something creative to do with the stickers, but haven't yet ... i'll keep you posted on that one. this swap made my day, i so so SO miss getting mail like this, i don't know why i stopped for so long. we'll swap again soon if you're up for it - this was great, Sal <3
Response: FANTASTIC! I am so pleased you liked the swap, it really was fun to get into packing a little parcel up again! (..I also gave the laces a sneaky sniff in the shop too xD..) Why thank you! I hope to master this perler bead skill sometime soon :3 It'll look good as a magnet, so the smooshed side can be hidden ^^ (Always up for a fun swap!)

Comment: Hi Sal, You had Matilda who was a quiet girl who loved books; mine was Jo in Little Women, a not so quiet girl who loved books and didn't like girly things! Different generations, same need for characters we could identify with. Thanks for the Roald Dahl card -- I like it!
Response: Thank you for the lovely rating, I am glad you enjoyed the postcard! It is nice to hear that you had a character to identify with too :) I haven't read Little Women, but my childhood best friend adored it
