I've only been involved in ATC swaps on here. I swap books on a different site. That's basically all I swap so far!
I love art history. Degas is my fave.
I'm a big grammar nerd; my dream profession is becoming an editor for a newspaper or magazine.
I was born in the wonderful city of Chicago (recently moved back to Austin!).
I studied abroad in Spain for a semester and LOVE all things Spanish. While I was there I explored Paris, Florence, and Rome and apparently looooove those beautiful cities as well. Also, I would like to move to Japan for a few years and immerse myself in their culture.
I've recently gotten my dental braces (better late than never!). Overly excited about this. :-#
I love penguins, pandas, and zebras (black 'n' white obsession?).
I don't drink caffeine anymore. But I love herbal teas!
My nephew just turned one. I love him to pieces! Not even joking, he's the highlight of many of my days. I love being an aunt.
I'm diligently working on a long-distance relationship with my handsome boyfriend. Ooh la la...haha. Love is beautiful :)
I work best under pressure, thus I'll always wait 'til the last minute to send my swaps. So please be patient and wait 'til after the deadline to hound me about a swap!
Music I love: Mostly female singers (i.e. Cat Power, Jaymay, Regina Spektor, Lilly Allen, Estelle, Billie Holiday, Madeleine Peyroux, Lauryn Hill, etc). John Legend, Juanes, Los Secretos, Pink Martini, The Stray Cats...pretty mixed. NO country NOR new jazz!
I love reading: art history fiction novels (Chevalier, mainly). Sedaris, Palahniuk, Burroughs, Neruda are great writers in my opinion. Also, the AP Stylebook -- it's a lifesaver when I work!
Foreign flicks, especially British, French, and Spanish films. I love Tarantino's work. I heart Almodovar as well. I hate mainstream films. NO Shyamalan! I'm sick of those spoof movies (i.e. Date Movie, Scary Movie 5 or something like that...).
Ironically, I just got back into Ugly Betty as this last season ended. Also, I've recently gotten into Project Runway and Tabatha's Salon Takeover. Let's not forget Desparate Housewives. Ooh, that new show on HBO -- True Blood. Wow, I watch too much telly.
Scrapbooking, painting with acrylics, collages. Knitting (beginners). I'm trying to break in my new sewing machine (gifted to me last Christmas. But I have more time these days!). I'm converting one of the rooms in the house into a crafts room. We've never had one before, but I think it's very needed as all of my brothers take interest in some sort of art.
I hate bad drivers. I hate hot weather (hello, Texas!). I'm not a fan of Kawaii. Grape flavoring can go die under a rock somewhere (I like real grapes, though). I'd rather not live with my parents (free rent...). Line-cutters should be cut out of life.

I am now working in a smallish (half a million inhabitants) city near Madrid.
