Hello everyone, I am sorry it took me so long to fill this out. Here we go, my name is Chana and I live in Dirtville (El Paso) Texas. I live with my boyfriend of 15 years and 2 dogs, Fala and Sydney. I also have a bunny rabbit named Ondin. I love to read and cook and garden, El Paso is very dry so gardening here is not easy!
I love snail mail and have a huge postcard collection and pen pals from all over the world. I like ghost stories and haunted houses and creepy old castles, tarot cards, crystal balls and magic. I like faries and gnomes and believe in Santa!
I love Japanese food, Scadinavian furniture, photagraphy, and fashion magazines. I like Origami and send the soldiers in Iraq cranes for Peace. I keep a journal for just about everything, food, letters, thoughts and I have a blog that I have been very absent from lately. I love meeting new people and learning about them and where they live. I love to talk but not on the phone.
Because it is so dry here, I love when it rains or snows, thunder and lightning and I am in heaven when we have a cloudy day! My favorite color is purple and green and I like pink and orange too. My favorite season is Fall, my favorite holiday is Christmmas or Halloween.
The Police, Tom Petty, 80's pop, Gypsy Kings, The Tragically Hip, Flamming Lips and Groove Armada, Massive Attack. I don't really like rap or country and I really hate heavy metal or really hard rock.
Sarah Addison Allen, Moomin, Bicycle Diaries Byrne, David, Her Fearful Symmetry Niffenegger, Audrey, The Non-Planner Datebook Smith, Keri, Wishful Drinking Fisher, Carrie, Affinity Waters, Sarah, The Little Stranger Waters, Sarah, Julia's Chocolates Lamb, Cathy*
Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, The Shinnig, Gas Light and Men in Black and Back to the Future.
Mad Men, Ghost Lab, Paranormal State, Ace of Cakes and Good Eats.
Disney, cheesy internet artwork with puppies and sparkle. The new Winnie the Pooh I like the old vintage Winnie better. Mexican artwork or culture items, I live on the U.S.- Mexico border I get enough here. Well, I like vintage Loteria cards. Long complicated recipes that would take a full Martha Stewart staff to make. The Dollar Store, I only go there to buy cleaning supplies and I don't really like to clean.
Cookbooks, vintage cookbooks, books in general, recipes, postcards, stamps, mail art. Rocks, beach glass and leaves and such from walks. Photographs, Anne Taintor magnets, Tarot cards, and magazines, Origami paper and I noticed that I have a lot of blank journals so I guess I collect them too.
