Howdy- back after a hiatus of a few years. Hoping to get back in to doing more art.
I am an eternal 8 year old. I love dogs, greyhounds in particular. We currently have a baby grey girl and an angel retriever boy. They are amazing and make me laugh every day!
SWAPS I am very conscientious about my swap partners getting their goodies. Please let me know if something does not get to you prior to rating me a one; I offer everyone the same courtesy. If there would be any issue with sending out late to you, I would definitely be in contact with you. Also, I rate as soon as possible after receiving something. If anything EVER comes postage due, please let me know and I will fix the situation. This happened in the past --when I had taken a parcel to the post office to be hand-weighed.
If you haven't gotten a rating from me, I probably haven't gotten your swap. Thanks!
I love altering- anything! I have been a pack rat since I was born & love to make things that are a little "off" out of found objects.
I like trying anything crafty - mostly into paper crafts and re-using stuff. I am not very technically oriented, so those are the type of crafts that I don't attack with gusto.
Dogs (large sighthounds are my favorites but love all dogs), sloths, hippos---all animals really, halloween anything (skulls, pumpkins, vintage), folk art, outsider art, mail art, rubber stamps!, cute overload, kitsch, vintage, ephemera, estate sales and thrift stores, funny stuff, things that don't necessarily go together, carnival supply stuff, beads, ribbon, any old paper items, old toys & toy parts, ghosts, old cemeteries, abandoned buildings of any type, the ocean, the green outdoors, sheep, guatemalan/any south american crafts, day of the dead, old ads, tags, lawn flamingos, garden gnomes, plants/cactus, gypsy, cupcake decorations/picks, stickers, pens with things on the top of 'em, Mr. Winkle, the art museum, Klimt, Joseph Cornell, Frida Kahlo, Lucas Samaras, any old needlepoint/embroidery/crewel creations already finished (have a hard time not buying these when I see them at thrift/estates sales, even if they are bad!), old paint by numbers, (old) religious art, (I LOVE old images from books, old prayer cards, medals, rosaries, old religious-themed books, old religious kids books, books on the saints ---I was raised Catholic but am no longer...but I do love those images) old postage stamps, old postcards, ANYTHING handmade, anything to do with dogs, drawings by little kids, anything with poodle images on it, photos of dogs, photos of YOUR dog! NPR
I am a sucker for orphan notecards or cards...I have a bunch from thrift/yard sales...don't be surprised if you get something really cheesy from me!, art supplies, window shopping, photos-I don't take much, but LOVE looking at other people's - even if they are new, old, mundane things, anything..., Gorey, tiny, cute non-practical things, stuffed animals, rocks, fossils, found objects, Disapproving Rabbits, finding an old journal or ledger & reading the entries (perhaps a bit of voyeurism here?), peacocks, monsters, scary stuff (even though I am SO EASILY freaked out!), puppy kisses, pins/brooches (especially cheesy ones), things that are abnormally large or small (giant combs, giant sunglasses, those huge pencils), fair trade, journaling, donkeys, jokes, those large plastic seasonal yard decorations --they are so bad, they are good! (currently have one sheep from a manger scene, a chocolate bunny, some misc. halloween ones), hand making rugs from material strips with a modified toothbrush as a weaving aid, old cross-stitch samplers, playing cards--anything with interesting/vintage backs, board games- love the cards, pieces, spinners, all types of fabric, bright colors...
REALLY love nifty handmade pcs.
most scented stuff, lotions, make-up, when everything starts to look the same, most pre-done scrapbooking supplies, things with my name or initial, princess, girly-girl, drama! I am definitely more ARTSY than CUTESY!!
I love to read. Alice in Wonderland is my all-time favorite book; I also love Dr. Suess. I There are certain books I re-read every year - Alice in Wonderland, the Harry Potter series, the Chronicles of Narnia...Children's books are a favorite of mine...I have a large collection...I read them and also treaure them for the illustrations. I tend to gravitate towards "the classics" but am always up for any new read. I like books with dogs in them. Some favorite authors: DH Lawrence, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, C Jung, Lewis Carroll, David Sedaris, Jane Austin, Ambrose Bierce.

I told you it was worth waiting for! I'm so glad you love it. I had such a good time making it. In fact, I had to make one for myself, it was so cool. I'm honored that you will be leaving it out all the time. That's a true compliment to this artist. :-)
