My Postcard Blog/Wishlist
I'm taking a brief (?) break from Swapbot. The last month has been great, but I've had some personal/health issues to deal with and just need to let some things go to relieve stress. I'm sending out the last of my swap items today. Thanks for all the cards. Check out my Tumblr link above to see what YOU, Swap-bot members, have helped me create. It's brought me so much joy.
If we're in a postcard swap together, THANKS! I'm working on a postcard wall in my house, and have completely lost my stash from when I was younger. My dad was in the Army, and I know I have a bunch from him in a storage box somewhere. Ugh....too many moves in the past 10 years. :(
What I'm looking for:
Postcards that are state/province/county specific. Basically, so I can look at the wall and see "Oh, there's my Nevada card, there's my Belgium card..." and so on.
Postcards of National Parks (LOVE THEM!). Bonus points and a guaranteed heart if you're able to get an NPS Passport stamp on the card. (You'll probably get a heart anyways just for it being an NPS card. Don't go out of your way for a stamp)
State Map Cards. For a project I'm dedicating an area of the wall for.
I love my cards naked and written on. Even a happy face will suffice. :)
I'm a scrapbooker when I have time, but love all crafty projects. My latest has been making crayon creations with busted old crayons. I've also lately refound my love of Perler beads.
I majored in Philosophy, and am working on a book about Thoreau based on a massive project I was required to do for a course. I love reading political philosophical works, and books about Utilitarianism and legal realism. Thoreau and Rawls are my favorites to read. I also find Kant particularly interesting, though I think he was nuts.
I used to be a die-hard Stephen King fan, though I've not read anything of his in years. That spawned from reading Christopher Pike and R.L. Stine when I was younger.
Aaaannnnddddd....Harry Potter. Book 6 is probably my favorite, though I can never read just one. When I find the urge to read Harry Potter, I end up re-reading the entire series. I've lost count of how many times I've read through it all.
Star Wars Episode IV - Classic! The whole series is great, and Episode 1 became much more tolerable in 3D.
Harry Potter, of course. Both parts of 7 were amazing, before those, Prizoner of Azkaban was my hands-down favorite. Now, it's a bit of a 3-way tie.
Office Space is amazing. Back to the Future I and II also score high on the epicness meter.
I love my reality TV, but haven't gotten into the new stuff. No cable for me. :( My TV needs are fulfilled through Netflix.
Most recently, I watched seasons 1-3 of Biggest Loser. I don't think I'll persue it any further though.
My guilty pleasure used to be Flavor of Love and I Love NY. Really...can people be any less classy??
I can never turn down ANTM, but I've not watched any of the ones since All Stars. It got way too rigged and the fun slipped away. Still love the early seasons though.
Classic shows are always fun, especially I Love Lucy and Dennis the Menace.
These are the tags I'm in. this is just for my own info. :)
